Let’s go to Brighton Pride!

Brighton and Hove Pride is the multi Boyz Award-winning summer sensation and is also the UK’s biggest Pride festival. This year’s Summer of Love themed festival over the first weekend of August will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the decriminalisation of homosexuality. Dave Cross takes a look at just three of the key points of the much-loved seaside affair.

so much more. Tickets are on sale now at brighton-pride.org.

Summer of Love theme launched

Brighton Pride’s 2017 Summer of Love theme will be a stunning celebration of the LGBT+ community and its supporters, bringing together the best of Brighton and Hove under a giant rainbow flag. It will celebrate 50 years since the decriminalisation of homosexuality and the start of the long march towards equality, while also recognising that we still have a way to go. This year’s Carnival of Diversity will fill the streets of Brighton with light and colour through the much loved Community Parade on Saturday 5 August. Applications are open now if you want to be part of the Parade via brighton-pride.org/tickets/parade-entry.
