Scene News: Easter preview, Ku Bar, G-A-Y, XXL, Two Brewers

Ku’s White Party Easter Weekend

Those glorious boys at Ku Bar will be decked out in white shorts and very little else all Easter as they celebrate the forthcoming White Party in Palm Springs. The fun starts on Thursday (13 Apr) with muscle studs the Sexshooters DJing down in the Klub. Ku Bar Leicester Square will be rocking extra late all weekend too, with a host of DJ and bar boy hotness, and 5am closing times on both Friday (14 Apr) and Saturday (15 Apr). Plus there’s a special Kabaret on Easter Sunday (16 Apr) starring Vicki Vivacious, Jacqui Swallows and DJ Lady Lloyd. Oof!

XXL’s Easter bash

Those bunny bears will be out in force for the gigantic XXL Easter party next Saturday (15 Apr) at Pulse. The Hoxton Whores will be joining the DJ line up and there’s cabaret from that delicate cabaret bloom, Myra DuBois. Tickets on sale at xxl-london.com.

One Night In Heaven

One Night In Heaven is back at Heaven on Easter Sunday (16 Apr) for another all-out clubbing extravaganza. Once again they will be teaming up with international super brand XLSior, who will be taking over the main room with some stunning XLSior galaxy themed shows. Easter at the RVT

As you might expect, the team at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern have an incredibly varied Easter weekend planned. It kicks off in classy style on Thursday (13 Apr) with cabaret star Holly Penfield singing the songs of Judy Garland. On Good Friday (14 Apr) the gang from Eurofest are back for a totes Euro club night with a live PA from Danish star Dinah Nah, followed on Saturday (15 Apr) by the marvellous Duckie. On Easter Sunday (16 Apr) Sunday Social is specially extended and open until 3am with cabaret from The DE Experience, and then on Bank Holiday Monday (17 Apr) Jonathan Hellyer’s other alter ego, Trannie Lennox, is back by popular demand for a sensational show at Retro Monday. Phew!

Kerry Ellis at G-A-Y

Next Saturday (15 Apr), Jeremy Joseph has one of his favourite guests back at the club when West End star Kerry Ellis is back at G-A-Y. Kerry has a new album out with Queen star Brian May and we are pretty sure that Jeremy will persuade Kerry to sing her version of Defying Gravity as well as songs from the album. Not to be missed!

The Two Brewers

Jimmy and his boys and girls at the Brewers have an egg-citing Easter weekend planned. The fun starts on Thursday (13 Apr) with Titti La Camp when it’s open late until 4am, on Good Friday (14 Apr) we get Lady Imelda along with Enriched, and then Miss Penny hits the stage on Saturday (15 Apr). On Easter Sunday (16 Apr) it’s an extended version of Power of Three and then on Bank Holiday Monday (17 Apr) it’s the Pride In London Fundraiser with loads of cabaret stars

CK Easter Sunday at Halfway

It’s always a bit crazy at Halfway II Heaven and they have an action-packed Easter weekend for you with cabaret every night and collections for The Food Chain all weekend. And it’s a special CK Sunday fundraiser on Easter Sunday (16 Apr) with Kelly Mild and guests followed by Tanya Hyde and Dixie Delight.

There’s going to be a Last Supper theme at the Admiral Duncan with multiple cabaret stars every night of the Easter Weekend, Sandra, Baga, Martha and loads more.

The White Swan

Down in Greenwich the Duchess has a fantastic cabaret line up on offer next weekend. On Thursday (13 Apr) it’s Kelly Mild, on Good Friday (14 Apr) it’s Miss Penny, Mrs Moore hits the stage on Saturday (15 Apr) and on Easter Sunday (16 Apr) there’s an extra special Super Sunday!

An Old Ship celebration

Over the Easter weekend John and his gang at the Old Ship are celebrating five years at the Limehouse venue. On the Saturday (15 Apr) you get Sophie, on Easter Sunday (16 Apr) it’s all about Miss Jason, and on Bank Holiday Monday (17 Apr) you get Myra DuBois.
