XXL Prince homage: Saturday 22nd April
If ever there was an artist who knew how to make a party jam it was the late Prince Rogers Nelson and last Saturday the bears came out to party like it was 1999.
Only at XXL could you see the cross of St George fluttering alongside the Prince logo above a sea of topless bears and blokes as they mixed St George’s Day celebrations with their Prince homage. In the Main Room Paul Morrell and Alex Logan were in charge of the tunes but it was in that funky Fur Lounge that Joe Egg and David Robson gave us the main Purple patch, mixing up the royal one’s hits with pop and R&B. It was a fantastic night of great music throughout the club.
