Get ready for Mighty Hoopla

It’s now one month until the Mighty Hoopla festival takes place on Sunday 4 June at Victoria Park. There’s a really strong line up of live acts this year including Years & Years, All Saints, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Will Young and Charlotte Church with her Late Night Pop Dungeon. There’s also big clubbing names such Sink The Pink, R & She, The Glory, Jonny Woo, John Sizzle, Lorraine Bowen and much more. Get your tickets from mightyhoopla.com.

S Club at the RVT 

There’ ain’t no party like an S Club party and on Thursday 1 June there’s one at the RVT. Tina Barrett, Jo O’Meara and Bradley Macintosh from the 90s supergroup will be at the Vauxhall hot spot. There may only be three of the seven but you will get hits such as Reach and Don’t Stop Moving. Tickets are now on sale at vauxhalltavern.com

The Old Ship’s weekend

There’s another fun weekend ahead at the Old ship in Limehouse starting on Friday (5 May) when they open their 2017 Drag Idol account with their first heat hosted by Mandy Gap. The fun continues on Saturday with Maisie Trollette and Sunday when the one and only Candy Slag in Drag makes a welcome return.

King Cross Remix

From next Tuesday (16 May) the Camden People’s Theatre present Kings Cross (Remix), an immersive and exciting performance of queer history in London by Tom Marshman. Tickets are on sale at cptheatre.co.uk.

The Drama Queens are back in town

The Drama Queens Drag Theatre Company are back in town at their brand new home in the form of super club Pulse, home of XXL. From this Wednesday (3 May) they are meeting every Wednesday at 7.30pm for rehearsals, but if you want to come down to only see if you might want to get involved then everyone is welcome.

Sundays at the G&D

Down in deepest Greenwich there’s something special happening every Sunday as the Duchess welcomes three top acts to her humble abode. This Sunday (7 May) you get Mary Mac, Miss Jason and Myra DuBois and don’t forget it’s free entry!
