Seven Days: Ku Bar, Admiral Duncan, Village Soho, Her Upstairs, Victoria and more

Madrid’s Infinita at Ku Klub

Those boys at Ku Bar do love a party and on Saturday (27 May) downstairs at Leicester Square in that funky Klub they are welcoming hot Spanish club Infinita from Madrid for a pre-WorldPride club bash. Special guest DJ Paul Heron will be joining residents Rodrigo Tancredi and Kerol Garcia, plus you could win two free tickets to Infinita’s WorldPride party. Best of all, the hotness will be going on until 5am – woohoo!

War of the Roses at the Admiral Duncan

It’s War of the Roses for the bank holiday weekend at the Admiral Duncan as two royal houses fight to raise cash for Pride In London. On Friday (26 May) it’s the House of Admiral with Martha D’Arthur, Fanny Burns and Holestar, and then on Saturday (27 May) it’s the House of Duncan with LoUis CYfer, Cookie Monstar and Silver Summers. The whole bloody mess climaxes on Coronation Sunday with the Dunky’s Drag Idol Heat Final with Son of a Tutu, plus we’ll find out who raised the most cash. And then after all that, Nancy Clench eases you through your Bank Holiday Monday (29 May).

Hot DJs at Village Soho

For the bank holiday weekend, the gang at Village Soho have some amazing DJs mixing up the pumping house tunes from Thursday (25 May), including DJs Sam Londt, Gonzalo Rivas, Alex Baker and Olly Walker. Plus you get sexy go-go boys and it’s happy hour every day between 5pm and 9pm.

Hit the bubbles on Bank Holiday Monday

If the bank holiday weekend leaves you in need of some good clean fun then on Bank Holiday Monday (29 May) why not jump in the deep end with no clothes on at Nudity’s Naked Foam Party at Union from 3pm.

Spend the weekend with Her Upstairs

There’s a full on wacky weekend ahead at Her Upstairs starting with The Cocoa Butter Club on Thursday (25 May) and then Methie Dearest on Friday (26 May), followed by Queer Bash in Them Downstairs. On Saturday (27 May) it’s Holestar Does Divas when the brilliant ‘tranny with a fanny’ takes on some of your favourite female stars – and she always wins. And that’s followed by Pop! in Them Downstairs where TeTe Bang is the guest DJ.

A brand new Comptons

Don’t panic if you see much loved Soho venue Comptons closed for a few days this week – the Grand Dame of Old Compton Street has a new manager joining the team and it has had to close briefly while some essential maintenance work is carried out. The great news is that it will be open for business all over the bank holiday weekend with everything we love about the venue. This is the start of an exciting new chapter as part of the Stonegate family and we wish new guv’nor Matthew and his team the best of luck.

The Victoria’s Positive East Fundraiser

This Saturday (27 May) Pixie and the gang at The Victoria in Walthamstow present their Stow Sound Fundraiser for Positive East. Hosted by Victoria Sponge there’s an amazing line up including The Vixens, Sum Ting Wong, Chamonix Aspen, Dixie Delight, Polly Hardon and more. The show starts at 7pm, so don’t miss out!

Fun at the Old Ship

It’s all go at the Old Ship in Limehouse this bank holiday weekend with their Heat Final of Drag Idol on Saturday (27 May), hosted by Mandy Gap. On Sunday (28 May) we get Miss Terry Tour and on Bank Holiday Monday (29 May) it’s the lovely Saucy Sophie.
