Brighton Pride in August is the jewel in the British LGBT summer and it’s fast approaching. The centrepiece is the festival in Preston Park on Saturday 5 August. The team have already confirmed The Pet Shop Boys, Years and Years and many more acts for the main stage but we now have information on line-ups for other parts of Pride, here’s a preview of just a few.

The Legends Cabaret Tent

Preston Park – Saturday 5 August

For many people the Legend’s Cabaret Tent at Brighton Pride is the UK cabaret event of the year. Organised and hosted by Brighton’s undisputed queen of everything, Lola Lasagne, it’s a thing of sparkling sequined beauty and once again Lola has pulled together an amazing show. In that big gloriously over the top camp tent you get The D.E. Experience, Mary Mac, Mrs Moore, Sally Vate, Martha D’Arthur, Davina Sparkle, Kara Van Park, Son of a Tutu, Rose Garden, CK, Sandra, Dave Lynn, Miss Jason, Maisie Trollette, Drag With No Name and a hell of a lot more. Unmissable!

Brut makes a welcome return to Brighton Pride for a very special Sunday Tea Dance which includes super hot DJs, cabaret and much more in the Pleasure Gardens on Old Steine in the actual town centre. BIMM is the British & Irish Modern Music Institute, the largest provider of contemporary music education in Europe. They are joining Brighton Pride for the first time and their stage in the Pleasure Gardens, Victoria Gardens in the town, will be a showcase for new and exciting bands. The line-up includes, the electro-pop of Andrea Di Giovanni, the funk-filled hip-hop raps of Elemental, the acoustic folk of Hayley Chillcott, the neo soul, spoken word, ambient and electronica of The Isle Of CC, the sych-rock Hip-Hop fusion of Jaxn, the freaky folk of JohnlikeJohn, the Freddie Mercury tribute wonder Luke Antony, the soaring vocals and raw, honest lyrical wonders of Miles Goodall, the singer-songwriter and pianist Oggy Why, the soulful melodies, screaming guitars, punchy rhythms and sexy harmonies of One Eyed Jacks, the futuris, rebellious multi-media performance of Rebekah Ubuntu, the pop, R&B and electronica of Seeva, the charming solo artist Stephanie Smart and the alternative punk of The Black Tubes. The BIMM Showcase Stage will undoubtedly be one of the musical highlights of the whole weekend.
