Pride in London at the Ku Bar venues

All the Ku venues, Leicester Square, Soho, Light Lounge, Klub and She Soho will be party central this Saturday for Pride In London packed with happy customers and more than a sprinkling of hot boys. We take a look at Ku’s party plans and hear what Pride means to some of the team.

Ku Leicester Square – Miami Beach Party

Midday – 5am

The Lisle Street venue will feature a special outside area, their biggest ever, transformed into a sensational beach party complete with palm trees and boys in swimwear. Ku PR Manager and host  Nieko told us: “Pride is a time where we can truly showcase who we are as people and as a community. Where the social norms, expectations and limits on who we are ‘meant’ to be get thrown out the window. We are able to be ourselves, love each other without judgement, and celebrate what it took to get us to this wonderful time in life; but it is also a stark reminder that we are in a great community and city, and to remember and help fight for the same equalities all across the world.”

Klub, downstairs at Lisle Street, will be open extra late until 5am with a fantastic DJ line-up and those bar boys will be working extra hard. Barman Sandy told us: “Pride is an opportunity to express every facet of who you are and to remember those who fought for us to get to where we are today. We’ve made huge progress together, and as long as we continue to support one another, love will win.”

The Light Lounge

5pm – 3am

The gang at the Light Lounge, above Lisle Street, are teaming up with Andrew Christian for a special Pride night party including super hot DJs the Sexshooters, who told us: “For Pride, let it all hang out, be who you wanna be, fuck who you wanna fuck, dance how you wanna dance. What could be better than a day like that?”

Ku Soho – Konfetti Street Party

Midday – 3am

For many people Ku Soho is Pride in Soho with their amazing DJs and hot go-go boys playing in the first floor window of the Frith Street venue. Plus there will be a host of drag queens including the Boyz Award-winning Jacqui Swallows who told us: “Pride is always a magic time of year for us queens. We’re lucky enough to travel all over the country, meeting some wonderful people and having the time of our lives, living our lives the way we deserve to. Even a hateful old bag like me enjoys spreading my love across Pride season. Be safe, love each other and happy Pride.”

Entry to the bars is free.
