Brighton Pride: Preston Park – Saturday 5th August
The Brighton Pride Festival in Preston Park was a glorious mix of everything you could want in a summer’s day out and quite a bit more. We spent time in the Wild Fruit Big Top dancing to Fat Tony and more, we also shook a tail feather in the Urban World tent with its sexy vibe and deft beats. We said hi to the girl’s tent and in the interests of fair play spent quite a bit of time hanging around the men’s tent too. We laughed and sang along in the Legend’s Cabaret tent to CK, Sandra, Mary Mac, the DE Experience and more, all under the watchful gaze of Lola Lasagne. We loved the main stage especially Years and Years with their camp Pride show and we sang along to the Pet Shop Boys. It was also great that on every stage people were talking about the fact that the struggle for worldwide freedom and equality is far from over, the day was fun but we also got the message too.
