Brighton Pride: The Community Parade – Saturday 5th August

The Boyz road trip to Brighton Pride started and ended on crowded trains surrounded by happy smiling people of every persuasion imaginable.

As we arrived so did the sporadic rain, but that did not dampen the Parade one bit as it made its way through the packed streets from the seafront to Preston Park. There were floats, buses, hundreds of amazing costumes and so many laughing cheering people both in the Parade and watching from the streets.  We saw the ‘oldest gay in the village’ George Montague and Peter Tatchell campaigning on Chechnya. The crowd blew whistles, a lot of whistles and cheered every time the rain stopped and the sun came out.
