The George and Dragon’s relaunch weekend: 8th and 9th September

The gays of Greenwich and further afield were treated to a double helping of the new and improved George and Dragon boozer last weekend when guv’nor The Duchess and his team hosted the long-awaited relaunch – and what a relaunch it was! On Friday the crowd was treated to the voice of Nicki French followed by cabaret with the class and amazing Miss Jason, while on Saturday pop royalty Hazell Dean hit the stage for a performance of her hits including “Whatever I Do (Wherever I Go)” and “Who’s Leaving Who” at what was also the venue’s 19th birthday. Happy birthday Duchess, and long may you both reign.
