Me, Myself and I with Woe Addams

Drag Idol finalist and one third of drag troupe The Vixens, Woe, adores The Addams Family Values and loved watching Lesley Joseph in Young Frankenstein.

Where are you from originally?

Originally from the womb of my mother, Wednesday, but I’ll assume you want me to name a place, so South Wales.

And where do you live now?

In North London with some strangers I met online.

What do you love about London and why?

Who said I love London? I love the fact that it’s always buzzing; forget New York – THIS is the city that never sleeps!

What was the first gay venue you visited?

It was the RVT for my first heat of Drag Idol where I went on to be the first person to represent them in the finals (you’re welcome).

Favourite club/bar/venue in London?

I’m contractually obliged to say Halfway II Heaven.

Favourite Halloween/horror film?

For obvious reasons it’s The Addams Family Values. Every word in that film is golden.

Favourite Halloween song and why?

I Put a Spell on You from Hocus Pocus. I don’t think I need to explain why.

What was the last theatre show you saw, and what did you think of it?

Young Frankenstein and I thought it was amazing! Lesley Joseph (who someone once told me I look like) was sensational.

What is your guilty pleasure and why?

Necrophilia.

Best gift you’ve ever received and why?

My boyfriend made me a blue cloak out of Welsh wool for my birthday last year after I made a passing comment about being a Ravenclaw. It’s the best because it was so thoughtful and so unexpected.

What has been the highlight of your career so far and why?

We (The Vixens) were shooting a music video last week and Shae Den Freude fell over doing choreography. That was a highlight.

If you could go back in time which year would you choose and why?

I’d go back to my second year at uni cause I got a hefty tax rebate.

What’s the best party you’ve ever been to and what made it so good?

I once went to a seance. It was amazing because we were able to summon the ghost of Fanny Fierce’s drag career.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

Rose Garden told me not to care about what people think.

Who is your LGBT+ hero and why?

I don’t have one. Anybody that supports and champions our rights is my hero.

Who are the most entertaining people you follow on Twitter and why?

I have Twitter but I never use it. But I follow @DrinksForGayz on Instagram and it’s hilarious. My insta is @WoeAddams, by the way…

Where in the world would you like to visit before you die and why?

The grave of my future sugar daddy.

What is one thing you wish you knew when you were younger?

The world is round! Who knew?!

See Woe performing as part of The Vixens at Ball this Friday (27 Oct) at the Two Brewers and at Halfway II Heaven’s Halloween Night on Tuesday (31 Oct).
