Eating Out

The Ivy Soho Brasserie: Review by Stephen Vowles

Situated in the heart of London’s buzzing Soho the opulent and beautiful The Ivy Soho Brasserie has quickly become a meeting place for media types, fashion gurus and the general public visiting this buzzing part of town. The service is excellent and the staff attentive but not intrusive.

Opting for apple and Stilton salad this was refreshing and prepared my palate for the richness of the fillet steak that was going to be my main course. My dining companion went for the oak smoked salmon which could have been a main in its own right with the size of the portion representing fantastic value for money. His main was the aromatic duck curry which did not fail to stimulate his taste buds as the herbs delivered a sensory delight. The menu is very extensive and so is the drinks list to accompany any meal.

Open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner – and with the occasional drag host to welcome and entertain you, particularly when the restaurant has themed nights like Halloween. The Ivy Soho Brasserie is affordable and definitely worth a visit.

A delightful dining experience where The Ivy’s reputation for excellence has not been diminished in any way.
