That Was The Year That Was

Friday 29 December, 10pm – 3am

David Robson, #TWTYTW promoter

“Had enough family time and looking for something pre-New Year’s Eve? Look no further then That Was The Year That Was at The RVT. Hosted by me, David Robson, #TWTYTW is a satirical club night reviewing the best and worst of 2017 with some of the finest London cabaret and the best DJs in on the scene including Pi The Mime, TVTV and Virgin Xtravaganzah.”

David Robson’s Top 5

1. Dua Lipa – New Rules

Could it be anything else? No. It couldn’t.

2. Katy Perry – Bon Appetit

It’s criminal what has happened to the Witness album campaign. Whoever was behind it should be slaughtered! Every single has been a banger and showed that Katy is more than a fluffy
pop princess.

3. Ariana Grande – One More Time

After the tragedy at Manchester Arena this song took on new meaning. Firmly making Ari an international treasure following the One Love concert. Terrorists 0, Ari 100

4. Lady Gaga – The Cure In 2017

Gaga got her mojo back. Superbowl, that tour and a fresh sounding track! More of this please, Gags.

5. Carly Rae Jepsen – Cut To The Feeling

Should have been a HUGE summer pop smash.

These two stunning stars will put on a fun and celebratory show, until THE BIG DONG at midnight. And to keep the purest BEEFMINCE atmosphere, it’s resident DJs only! Silverhook and Cactushead will be taking turns on the decks playing the biggest and most uplifting BEEFMINCE anthems until 5am!

Anthem New Year’s Day Revival with DE Experience

Monday 1 January, 3pm – midnight

Andy Almighty, Anthem promoter

“For more than a decade we used to hold (now legendary) S.L.A.G.S/Chill-Out New Year’s Eve parties at the RVT. It was always the hottest ticket in town. For the last couple of years we’ve moved the event to the next day and it works brilliantly – better, in fact. It is quite a chilled affair compared to the manically busy NYE events. The DE Experience puts on a special show for the day and DJs Simon Le Vans, Andy Almighty and Sean Sirrs play RVT/S.L.A.G.S/Chill-Out anthems, from start until finish. It is the perfect way to round off your New Year celebrations.”

Andy Almighty’s Top 5

1. Steps – Scared of the Dark

2. Katy Perry feat. Skip Marley – Chained To The Rhythm

3. Dua Lipa – New Rules

4. Rita Ora – Anywhere

5. Calvin Harris feat. Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams, Big Sean – Feels
