Love is in the air at XXL – or at least it will be – when the team hosts its annual Valentine’s Day love-in next weekend. There’s nothing better than a cuddly bear to get your arms around and next Saturday super-club Pulse will be packed with bears and cubs of all persuasions – beefy, chunky, muscly, ottery – you name it, they’ll be there. So if you’re on the hunt to bag a manly partner to enjoy summer with, know you know where to head.
XXL Construction
Saturday 24 February
The XXL team serves up another sweaty night of hairy men in ripped jeans and grubby vests at the end of this month with a trip to its ever-popular Construction site. Sink a few pints at the bar then hit the dancefloors, along with a load of other geezers all after a good drilling, where music will be coming thick and fast from resident DJs Paul Morrell, Alex Logan, David Robson and Joe Egg. Hold on to your hard hat because it’s going to be a rough ride. Safety first!
XXL St David’s Day
Saturday 3 March
We love a Welshie and you are sure to find the cream of the Welsh gay crop on the dancefloors at Pulse when XXL hosts its St David’s Day party early next month. Even gay former Welsh rugby player Gareth Thomas has been known to hit the club for a pint and a scrum of his own on the dancefloor! So if you’re after a slab of Wales’ finest meat, XXL is the place to be on 3 March.
XXL Fetish
Saturday 10 March
Forget your usual jeans and vest – XXL Fetish is the chance to shake what your daddy gave you and don your best leather and rubber fashions on 10 March. Expect a sea of chaps, harnesses, gimp masks and more as London’s kinkier bears hit Pulse with gusto. It’s always a huge party, not only because you get a truck load of Irish bears come over for a London jolly, but also because Mark has a ton of bezzies too. XXL Lumberjack
Saturday 31 March
One of the biggest parties to take place over the Easter weekend this year will be at XXL where every Easter Saturday mega-club Pulse is packed tighter than a Thornton’s chocolate egg (other brands are available). And the Lumberjack theme is a particular favourite of XXL patrons as it gives them the opportunity to flex their guns in their best plaid shirts or shake their bellies while wearing nothing more than a pair of torn denim shorts. Expect all the best beats from resident DJs Paul Morrell, Alex Logan, David Robson and Joe Egg plus hoards of sexy men of all shapes and sizes.
