Scene News: Halfway, The RVT, Bjorn Again and more

CK 10 at Halfway

Next Sunday (10 Mar) those gorgeous cabaret kittens Crystal D’Canter and Kelly Mild will be celebrating 10 years – that’s a whole decade – of bonkers afternoon shenanigans at CK Sunday at Halfway II Heaven. It will start at 3.30pm with a bubbly reception with the girls, plus Drag Idol winner and West End star Vileda Moppe will be performing and there will be more surprises too.

The Soft Subject 

Chris Woodley’s autobiographical solo show The Soft Subject (A Love Story), taking at the Vault Festival on Wednesday (7 Mar) and Thursday (8 Mar), takes you back to school to learn about love, loss and The Little Mermaid. In this highly-energetic, pop-fuelled, heart-on-the-sleeve account, Chris playfully explores the peaks and troughs of wanting it all in the modern world. Get tickets at vaultfestival.com

Trashy Queen back at The RVT

Trashy queen is a club night home to ‘all creed, gender and breed’, they want you to express yourself (don’t repress yourself) at the glorious RVT next Friday (9 Mar) from 10pm. Bjorn Again on Tour

Eyes down with Tanya 

Next Friday (9 Mar) the gorgeous Tanya Hyde will be in charge of the balls at a special Rock N Roll Bingo at the Two Brewers in associations with London Lads from 8pm to 10pm. Lads members get to play for free, for the rest it’s just £2 to have a bash and see if you can make Tanya scream ‘house’.

Leather Market at Comptons 

This Sunday (4 Mar) the guys at Comptons present Leather Market, a fundraiser for Survivors UK who help sexually abused gay men. Hosted by Mr Leather UK finalist, Steven Quick, come and sell your old leather gear with a 10% commission going towards Survivors UK. There will be some amazing bargains and it’s a great cause.
