Eurovision 2018 bars round up
The Eurovision Song Contest is just around the corner and many of your favourite LGBT bars are planning themed events to help you enjoy the event in style. At the Two Brewers, Titti La Camp and Lola Lasagne host the bar’s Eurovision party complete with witty commentary, facts, voting sheets and loads more.
At Ku Bar Leicester Square, Lady Lloyd hosts her infamous annual knees up down in the Klub, and at the Duke of Welly the lovely Vanity Von Glow keeps the masses entertained, while at Halfway II Heaven Kelly Mild and Kitty Patten welcome special guest Shae G’Day.
Over at the George and Dragon in Greenwich, Rotherham’s least celebrated daughter, Myra DuBois, offers her brand of acerbic comedy throughout the night, and The Vixens’ Tia Kofi and Sum Ting Wong host a very special evening at The Star of Kings up in Kings Cross with a live performance from Eurovision 2013 winner Emmelie de Forest (book tickets via outsavvy.com). What’s more, these venues will be showing the Contest’s semi finals on Tuesday 8 May and Thursday 10 May as well!
The Quebec is back!
Marble Arch boozer The Quebec reopens its doors as a fully fledged LGBT pub this weekend, and if there was any doubt it means business then look no further than the amazing line up of cabaret acts. On Saturday (5 May) the amazing Charlie Hides takes to the stage from 9.30pm with Patti O’Dors as hostess, plus there’ll be a fire eater, stilt walker, and a meet and greet with Marilyn Monroe (although we’re guessing it’s not THE original Marilyn…) And then on Sunday the fabulous Son of a Tutu will be live on stage from 7pm, so hold on to your credit cards…
