UK Prides-a-coming

Pride season is fast approaching and while there are scores of regional Pride events happening up and down the country, we’ve got our eye on these few. Coventry Pride [coventrypride.org.uk] kicks off on Saturday 9 June and continues the following day also, with a mix of local acts all taking to the stage.

Up next is Essex Pride [essexpride.org] on Saturday 16 June where singers entertaining the masses in Central Park Chelmsford include Sam Callahan (left), Sinitta, Liberty X and many more.

At Bristol Pride [bristolpride.co.uk] on Saturday 14 July you get acts including Lloyd Daniels, Kelly Llorenna and an army of the UK’s finest cabaret acts, while the Isle of Wight’s Pride [iwpride.org] on Saturday 21 July is the UK’s only Pride event which takes place on a sandy beach.

Pop goes your bank holiday at Missing Bar

Start your May bank holiday weekend with a bang – or rather the pop of a cork – this Friday (4 May) at Missing Bar in Birmingham where bottles of prosecco are only £12.99 from 7pm. Later that same night, DJ Mike Emery and hostess Gavina take over for Hitman and Her, while on Saturday it’s non-stop disco hits with Your Disco Needs You. And then on Sunday the fab LaQueeta hosts Saucy Sundays with double cabaret at 8.30pm and 10.30pm.

Eurovision at the Yard Coventry

The Eurovision Song Contest is just around the corner and at The Yard in Coventry the fab Kelly Wilde is live on stage on the big night itself (Saturday 12 May). The bar will be screening the main show live from Lisbon, plus hosts Jupiter and Minerva will be commentating their asses off. Oh, and best of all, entry is totally FREE!

Sunday roasts at VIA Manchester

Sundays are all about Sunday roasts at VIA Manchester and it’s just as well, because after a long Saturday night of partying we can barely dress ourselves come the early hours of Sunday afternoon, let alone be fooked enough to cook a whole sodding dinner. VIA offers delicious meals packed with goodies such as succulent meats, luxury nut roasts, homemade stuffing, giant Yorkshire puddings and seasonal veg from midday until 8pm. Book your table now via (Aha! See what we did there? No? OK…) viamanchester.co.uk

OMG Bristol’s Glitter Party

OMG Bristol hosts a full-on glitter party this Sunday (6 May) from 10pm. And they don’t just mean it’s fine to turn up having added a bit of shimmer onto your cheeks; they want you glittered up like a unicorn that’s just galloped through a glitter factory. Got it? Good.
