Seven Days: XXL, Halfway II Heaven, The RVT, Ball at The Brewers, The Light Lounge and more

XXL Bears ‘N’ Cubs

This Saturday (2 Jun) it’s one of our favourite recurring themes at Pulse when Mark and the lads host XXL Bears ‘N’ Cubs at the Southbank super venue. The place will be fit to bursting with blokes and hunks of all shapes and sizes and the music won’t be too shabby either with those marvellous resident DJs mixing up a storm.

Cabaret at Halfway

There’s always something special happening at Halfway II Heaven and this weekend the crazy starts on Friday (1 Jun) when there’s a double cabaret treat with Lola Lasagne at 8pm followed by those frisky Vixens at 10pm. Saturday sees Mrs Moore at 4pm, Rose Garden at 5pm and Heart & Soul at 10pm, plus the gorgeous Justin Swift, and then Sunday, of course, belongs to CK from 3.30pm.

Your weekend at The RVT

It’s another stonking weekend ahead at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern starting on Thursday (31 May) with their Drag Idol heat final when they pick a venue champion to represent them in the semi finals. Friday sees the jaw-dropping cabaret antics of the brilliant LipSinkers and club shenanigans from DJ David Robson, and then come Saturday it’s none other than Duckie. And the weekend climaxes with Charlie Hides at Sunday Social – wahoo!

Butch up your life at Sundowners

Margate funhouse Sundowners welcomes Butch to the stage this Saturday (2 Jun), who is flying solo since partner Topping’s retirement. He’ll be live on stage from 11pm and entry is free before 9pm or just £3 after.

Ball at The Brewers

This Friday (1 Jun) those cheeky boys from the London Titans are back in Clapham for their next club night at the Two Brewers for a Whitney fest at the brilliantly named The Greatest Love of Ball. There will be Witters inspired cabaret from Sandra too, plus a performance from star of Dreamgirls Sean Parkins with a unique and stunning tribute to the much missed Ms Houston.

White Swan

This weekend you can surround yourself with those East End beauties at the White Swan with the popular Klub Nite on Friday (1 Jun) followed by cabaret from Sandra on Saturday plus music from DK FKA.

The Light Lounge

Those clever bunnies at the Ku Group know how to throw a party and if you haven’t checked out their super stylish and cool Light Lounge above Lisle Street then what the hell is wrong with you? It’s open every day from 5pm and they serve the most delicious cocktails (we know, we’ve tried most of them).

LGBT+ coffee morning for over 50s

Each and every Thursday the team from Wandsworth LGBT Forum throw a coffee morning for LGBT+ folk over 50. It’s always a lively and fun gathering from 10am at the Furzedown Project, 91/93 Moyser Road, SW16.

Piano Bar at the G&D

We all know that the George and Dragon in Greenwich is a cabaret hotspot with loads of top acts at the weekend, but did you also know that every Thursday they have fantastic night called Piano Bar. It features the lovely Ian Parker on the keyboard singing classics. Some weeks it’s Ian’s solo show and other weeks the likes of Crystal D’Canter, Mrs Moore and Tanya Hyde pop up to join him, but whoever’s on it’s always lovely.

OMG it’s Wednesday!

Every Wednesday OMG Bristol it’s Poundemonium, OMG’s premium student night, complete with £1 drinks and free entry all night long. There’s also the chance to win hostess Miss Tina Sparkle’s all star prize too. Ooo, what could it be?
