Dancing in the street: The Two Brewers Street Party this Saturday

This Saturday (30 Jun) is one of our favourite days of the year; it’s the Two Brewers Street Party, which takes place from midday at Prescott Place next door to the award-winning Clapham cabaret mothership. Once again there’s a massive line up – here’s a look at what’s on offer this year plus photos from last year’s event.

The Two Brewers Street Party grew out of what was called the Clapham Street Party, when the team responsible for that joined up with the Brewers and moved it to Prescott Place, which is the road right next door to the Brewers.

For this special day, Prescott Place is transformed into a fun outdoors cabaret area with its own large stage and bars.

The gates open at midday with cabaret starting at 1pm and there’s a fantastic line up that includes Mrs Moore, Rose Garden, Baga Chipz, The Vixens, Lola Lasagne, Sandra, Mary Mac, Tracy Barlow, Danny Beard, Seann Miley Moore, Son of a Tutu, Titti La Camp, CK, Miss Jason, Kelly Wilde, Maisie Trollette, KY Kelly, Heart & Soul and many more, including Tanya Hyde who’s flying back from Gran Canaria especially for this event.

The London Gay Big Band will also be playing as well as the Gay Men’s Chorus, and there’s a host of DJs including Demon, Liam Chaplin, Nathan Hickery, Phil Marriott and Chris Brogan.

The cabaret finishes at 9.30pm and then the fun moves inside the Brewers for the afterparty until 4am. If you’ve never been to this fantastic day before, then get there early because it’s a total hoot.

Entry to the Street Party is £5, cash only. All monies are donated to local charities.

The Two Brewers Street Party is this Saturday 30 June, midday – late, at 114 Clapham Street, SW4.
