XXL Birmingham is back at The Core

The bears and blokes of XXL are back in Birmingham for their monthly knees up this Friday (15 Jun). Resident DJ Paul Morrell, who also compiled and mixed the current XXL Album, will be behind the decks for a six-hour marathon of non-stop house anthems, and the dance floor is sure to be packed with a crowd of chubs, chunks and hunks. Sum Ting Wong at Sundowners

The fabulous Sum Ting Wong takes to the stage at Margate party house Sundowners this Saturday (16 Jun). Expect laughs aplenty, songs and dance from one of the scene’s favourite drag acts. The show starts at 11pm and entry is free before 9pm or £3 after.

 

The Yard Coventry presents Steps Night

The UK’s leading Steps tribute act hits the stage at The Yard Coventry with a night of all your favourite Steps hits next Saturday (23 Jun). From early tracks such as 5,6,7,8 and Last Thing on My Mind and chart toppers Tragedy and Stomp, to classics such as Last Thing on My Mind, Better the Devil You Know and, more recently, Scared of the Dark, this is a must for all Steps super fans.

The bears are back in Brighton

This year the Brighton Bear Weekend takes place from Thursday 14 until Sunday 17 June and is proudly supported by a bunch of local venues. Highlights include the Brighton Bear Quiz on Thursday at the Camelford Arms, Friday’s Welcome Night and Cabaret at Bar Revenge, SubWoofer on Saturday night from 11pm at Subline, and underwear party Underbears on Sunday from 10pm, again at Subline. Your new look week of events at Missing Bar

Birmingham-based LGBT powerhouse Missing Bar has just released a new line up of weekly events for you get your teeth stuck in to. Mondays kick off your week with the affordable Ministry of Pound drinks selection, Tuesdays are karaoke with Gavina, Miss M hosts Mid-Week Madness on Wednesdays, and Gavina is back come Thursday with Throwback and bombs for £150 each. Come the weekend, The Hit Man And Her take over Fridays, Saturday nights see DJs Matt and Mike alternate, and Laqueefa hits the stage on Sunday with double cabaret.

Bristol Pride welcomes Alexandra Burke 

X Factor winner and Strictly Come Dancing finalist Alexandra Burke headlines at Bristol Pride on Saturday 14 July.
