Sunday at Brighton Pride
Brighton Pride is only a few weeks away and this year there’s even more gorgeousness than ever before. As well as all the community events, the Parade and the big event in Preston Park on Saturday 4 August (yes, the one with Britney), there’s also the Pleasure Gardens, official afterparties and so much more. There’s even a dog show! And this year they have added a whole extra day at Preston Park on Sunday (5 Aug). LoveBN1Fest is a fab day for everyone with a massive line up headed by Nile Rodgers and Chic plus Jess Glynne, Gabrielle and more, plus family entertainment, circus skills, cabaret, performance artists, a street food village, accessibly tent and wellbeing area. Myra 10
In case you’ve been living in the Australian Outback or on the Moon you must know that the whole scene has been celebrating 10 years of cabaret legend Myra DuBois. The whole thing comes skidding to some kind of climax this Thursday (12 Jul) with a special show at the Grand in Clapham for a very special show. Get tickets at myradubois.com
Mrs Moore at the White Swan
This Saturday (14 Jul) our favourite showbiz princess, the voice of a thousand fags, the one and only Mrs Moore, will have them rolling in the aisles and singing along at the White Swan in Limehouse. The multi-Boyz Award-winning cabaret starlet will regale us and the East End massive with songs and stories while Jason Prince twiddles the knobs and plays some tunes alongside Stevie Tee.
The Piano Bar at the George and Dragon
There’s always fun to be had down in Greenwich at the George and Dragon under the watchful gaze of The Duchess. We all know they have big name cabaret on all over the weekend, but we also love Thursdays which is the Piano Bar night. Resident pianist Ian Parker is joined each week by guest cabaret singers and this Thursday (12 Jul) it’s the turn of Crystal D’Canter.
