Sunny seaside town Margate came alive with the colours of the rainbow flag last weekend when Margate Pride made its way along the promenade and up the coast to Thanet’s only LGBT bar, Sundowners.
The local community came together to make the Parade a huge success before speakers including Sue Sanders (LGBT History month), Lady Phyll (UK Black Pride) and Charlie Craggs (writer My Trans Sisters) made their speeches. Pride evening wound down with DJ Ana Matronic’s Sunset Session, while over at Sundowners a troupe of drag delights took to the stage with Baga Chipz, Son of a Tutu and Mary Mac giving the cuties of Kent a Margate Pride to remember.
