Kings of Colour was set up by rising star and Drag Idol finalist Zayn Phallic to celebrate and nourish POC performers on the drag king scene. This Wednesday (3 Oct) they are taking over the Royal Vauxhall Tavern with a show that’s packed with gorgeous talent including, Chiyo, Coco Devillie, Bae Sharam, Richard Melanin III, Wesley Dykes, Joé De Vivre and, of course, Zayn, who will be be performing and hosting. Tickets start at £6 from vauxhalltavern.com, plus if you’re a person of colour for whom the ticket price would present a financial barrier to entry, there’s a limited number of free and £3 tickets available through their Facebook or Instagram @kocinitiative.

An extended Happy Ending

We all love a Happy Ending and you can now enjoy the play of the same name in the Studio space at the impressive new Above The Stag Theatre in Vauxhall. This hilarious and quite saucy play about a male masseur and his client has proved so popular that its run has now been extended until Sunday 7 October. Tickets and information from abovethestag.com

Cabaret at the Old Ship

There’s two amazing cabaret acts on this weekend at the Old Ship in Limehouse. The fun starts on Saturday (29 Oct) when the fabulous Baga Chipz is back in town doing what she does best and then on Sunday the mighty Son of a Tutu is back with songs, laughs and much more.

We love the G&D

And we love it because of the warm and friendly smile we always get from The Duchess, but also because her team are tip top and she books the best acts. This Friday (28 Sep) we get the divine Miss Jason and on Saturday it’s the one and only Baga Chipz. It all climaxes on Sunday with three acts – Miss Jason’s back plus Lola Lasagne and, due to overwhelming demand (or that’s what she told us), The Duchess herself.

Two Brewers refit

The Clapham cabaret mothership, the Two Brewers, is closing its doors in October – but don’t panic, they will be open again two weeks later following a refit of the multi award-winning venue. The last day open will be on Sunday 7 October for The Power of Three and then it reopens on Saturday 20 October with a massive relaunch party the following Friday (26 Oct).

The Little Mermaid in Clapham

We want to be where the fierce people are… and this Friday (28 Sep) they will be at The Grand in Clapham for a special screening of the Disney Classic, The Little Mermaid. Starting at 7pm, you get to watch the film and enjoy drag and dance shows, plus there’s bottomless popcorn for just £2 and there’s a banging afterparty planned.
