Seven Days

Seven Days: The RVT, Old Ship, XXL, Above The Stag and more

Grab a Queer Beer

Bierschenke is London’s only authentic Munich style bar and restaurant and they are already in the middle of their annual Oktoberfest celebration of German beer and food. This Saturday (22 Sep) from 6pm is a special LGBT+ party called Queer Schenke that will feature a drag host, homotastic competitions, hot guys and loads of surprises, plus, of course, a fantastic selection of yummy beers and mouth-watering food. German sausage, anyone?

Liberty X at The RVT

Over the past couple of years the team at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern have welcomed a gorgeous smorgasbord of classic pop acts to their stage on a Thursday night including Bucks Fizz, Mica Paris, Toyah and more. This Thursday (20 Sep) it’s the turn of Liberty X, now a three-piece of original members Michelle Heaton, Jessica Taylor and Kelli Young who will be playing hits such as Thinking It Over, Got To Have Your Love, Being Nobody, Holding On To You and the number one smash Just A Little. Tickets are on sale now at vauxhalltavern.com

Baga and Mandy at the Old Ship

This weekend John and his team at the Old Ship welcome two of the scene’s most classy and elegant ladies to the Limehouse venue. On Saturday (22 Sep) you get the mighty Baga Chipz for songs and stories of her spectacular life while on Sunday it’s that fluffy kitten of mirth Mandy Gap. Don’t say you weren’t warned…

Cherry Liquor at the London Hotel

The London Hotel is the mega popular cabaret venue in Southhampton with something brilliant on every night. This Thursday you get to taste the delicious drag star Cherry Liquor who is guaranteed to get you in the weekend mood.

XXL Construction

If you need some help with with your erections or a supporting wall needs a bit of attention then this Saturday (22 Sep) head to Pulse where you’ll find a horde of bears, blokes and hotties at XXL Construction. There will be a banging (see what we did there?) soundtrack from all the resident DJs plus a totally sizzling crowd too.

Kids Play at Above The Stag

Kids Play is most definitely not a play for children and it’s opening this week in the Studio Theatre at Above The Stag. Theo is a gay 17-year-old student in need of cash. Greg is a married businessman with an odd fetish. When the two meet up in a hotel room in Brighton during the conference season, a financial transaction takes place between them, but nothing turns out quite as either of them expected. An emotional corkscrew of a play with surprises galore, it is an often hilarious and sometimes dark journey into the psycho-sexual needs of two lost souls on a hot summer night. Tickets from abovethestag.com

Karaoke at Hampshire Boulevard

Hampshire Boulevard is Portsmouth’s only gay LGBT+ venue and is open seven nights a week until late. There’s always something fabulous happening and two of our favourite nights are The Big Navy Night Out every Wednesday with Aura Jay and Out On The Lashes with Lucinda Lashes on Thursday, plus you get karaoke both nights. Sorted!

Weeknights at the White Swan

The White Swan has been packing them in for more than 30 years down in Limehouse and as well as hot club nights and top cabaret at the weekends they also have some great entertainment during the week. Every Wednesday you get amazing shows at Speakeasy hosted by Chanel No.5 with a selection of special guests and this (20 Sep) and every Thursday it’s the Open Mic night with CJ.

Greenwich japes

As always that sly old fox The Duchess has a great line up of cabaret stars for us this weekend at the George and Dragon. On Friday (21 Sep) it’s Miss Penny at the Greenwich hotspot with Mary Mac on Saturday and on Sunday there’s three amazing acts in the form of Miss Jason, Lola Lasagne and Toni Sinclair.

SM Gays at Bloc South

This Thursday (20 Sep) the guys from SM Gays are back for their next Discovery Night and this time the theme is Bondage and Restraint from 8pm at Bloc South in Vauxhall.
