Halfway II Heaven: It’s a Knockout Grand Final: Tuesday 2 October
It’s a Knockout is the annual talent contest hosted by the one and only Bette Rinse at Halfway II Heaven and last Tuesday was this year’s Grand Final.
Two seriously brilliant acts, #Joe (the hashtag is silent) and PoppyCock, fought it out across two rounds to be this year’s champ. We got two very funny roasts and then two exceptional closing 20-minute routines, both different and both the strongest we’ve seen by the acts. In the end the judges and the audience voted and PoppyCock won. Congratulations to her, Joe, Bette and everyone involved, it was an outstanding night of fresh cabaret.
