Seven Days: TANGA! Party does Madonna, The RVT, Ku, Halfway, XXL and more

TANGA! Party does Madonna

This Friday (19 Oct) those crazy peeps from Spain, TANGA! Party are back in London at The Grand in Clapham and this time they have the queen of pop as their inspiration. TANGA! Party will feature a Madonna theme, amazing pop music, hot dancers and out of this world shows including an exclusive performance from Eurovision sensation Eleni Foureira. Get your tickets from outsavvy.com

Mary Mac is back at The RVT

Attention, this is not a drill: this Sunday (21 Oct) brace yourselves because our favourite wee bundle of tartan fun, Mary Mac, is back at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern for our second helping of haggis in two weeks. This weekend’s Sunday Social will feature gorgeous tunes from DJs such as Simon Le Vans, Liam Chaplin and Sean Sirrs, while Mary leads the RVT choir in a mass sing-along with enough joy to fill Wembley Stadium.

A little Ku for you

Don’t get us wrong, we LOVE Ku Leicester Square, what with Klub downstairs, the Light Lounge upstairs and, you know, the Ku boys, but we also are very fond of the so-cute-we-could-eat-it Little Ku, or Ku Soho as it’s sometimes called, on Frith Street. It’s small but perfectly formed and more often than not you will find that cheeky Nieko flirting like it’s going out of fashion, which it never does…

Danny and Davina in Limehouse

It’s a double D this weekend at the Old Ship when the marvellous Danny Beard rocks up to the Limehouse venue on Saturday (20 Oct) for maximum shits and giggles, and then on Sunday we get the always fab Davina Sparkle. Gorgeous.

Charlie Hides at Halfway

Kick-start your weekend with some world class cabaret this Friday (19 Oct) when the mighty Charlie Hides as Lisa Q Jones – America’s finest hairdresser… called Lisa… living in London… – pops up at one of his, and our, favourite venues, the always brilliant Halfway II Heaven.

Fat Tony at XXL  Lumberjack

Lumberjack is one of our favourite XXL themes because it means there’s hot bears and blokes in checked shirts and oh so tight jeans walking around the club looking for a large chopper. Plus this Saturday (20 Oct) DJ legend Fat Tony will be joining the fierce resident musicmakers. Marvellous.

Drag With No Name at the G&D

The Duchess and her team at the George and Dragon in Greenwich know a good turn when they see one and this Friday (19 Oct) they welcome the quite possibly mad but always brilliant Drag With No Name to the stage. Plus we also get Miss Jason on Saturday while Sunday climaxes the weekend with three gorgeous acts, Mary Mac, Sandra and Jason again.

Lonely Hearts at Above The Stag

This Friday (19 Oct) is the opening of Rupert Street Lonely Hearts Club by Jonathan Harvey in the fab new Studio Theatre at Above The Stag in Vauxhall. This is an engaging play about two brothers, one gay, one straight, sharing a flat and some of the ‘interesting’ people they meet. Tickets at abovethestag.com

Seven days of fun at Missing Bar

Missing Bar is the all-singing, all-dancing LGBT+ hotspot in Birmingham that has amazing stuff on every night of the week. There’s literally something fabulous on all the time and one of our faves is Throwback Thursdays with the marvellous DJ Gavina spinning pop hits from all the decades, plus there’s a huge selection of Bombzz (that’s drinks) from just £1.50 from 9pm.

Visit Manticore Spa in Plymouth

If you live in the southwest or are visiting that part of the world, we recommend treating yourself to a visit to the Manticore Spa in Plymouth city centre. This popular sauna has everything you need for a relaxing and fun time, plus it attracts a wide range of guys. Oh, and do we need to point out you get a lot of Navy types down there? It’s open every day from midday – get more info at manticorespa.com
