Cabaret in Clapham

There’s another rib-ticking, all-singing, all-dancing weekend ahead in Clapham at The Two Brewers starting on Thursday (15 Nov) with our favourite bonkers American hairdresser Lisa Q Jones. Friday night sees Boyz Award-winning KY Kelly in the Cabaret Bar while in the Club Bar DJs Sam Londt and Liam Chaplin are celebrating two years of their Backroom club night. Saturday features a special party in the Club Bar with Energize records and Nikki French launching her new album plus Mary Mac is in the Cabaret Bar and on Sunday for the Power of Three the amazing Charlie Hides joins Miss Jason and Sandra. 

Denim are back in town

Drag supergroup Denim, are back at the Soho Theatre from this week for three weeks with their Reunion Tour show. You get gorgeous songs, big voices, inappropriate behaviour and a lot of laughs. Tickets via sohotheatre.com

Fun at The Yard in Coventry

The Yard Coventry is the totes fab LGBT+ venue in the town centre that is always packed with a fun mixed crowd and always has cool stuff to keep you entertained. This Friday (16 Nov) the possibly bonkers, but definitely hilarious Drag With No Name is on stage and next Friday (23 Nov) it’s the outrageous Fanny Burns. 

This weekend at the Old Ship

This weekend John and his East End team have a couple of amazing acts at The Old Ship in Limehouse. Saturday (17 Nov) it’s Son of a Tutu and on Sunday the delicate and demure Sophie will be putting the world to rights.

Miss Penny is at The RVT

The stars have aligned and there’s another gorgeous weekend ahead at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern with something for everyone. Friday night (16 Nov) sees those frisky little monkeys from Beefmince  up to no good for sexy clubbing shenanigans, followed on Saturday by the equally naughty Duckie. The weekend climaxes with the brilliant cabaret diva Miss Penny making her Sunday Social debut, you can expect a lot of laughs and some big songs plus the always funky DJs until midnight.

Greenhouse nights

There’s three amazing Greenhouse saunas to choose from – Darlaston, Luton and Newport, and all three of them have everything you need for a great time. Plus they all host regular party themed nights including every Friday is She Dazzle for ‘cross dressers and admirers’ while on Saturdays it’s Bad Boys Desires where you can bring your sexy desires out to play. Halfway’s line-up

There’s literally never a dull moment at Halfway II Heaven with something happening every night. Here’s just a taste of what’s coming up… (deep breath) Friday (16 Nov) Baga Chipz, Saturday Mary Mac at 4pm, Rose Garden at 5pm and The Vixens at 10, Sunday it’s CK Sunday, of course and Monday is Battle of the Bars karaoke heat three. And as if all that wasn’t enough on Tuesday (20 Nov) the delicious Vanity Nightmare will be celebrating her birthday with a special show at 9pm.

What’s happening at Sundowners

Who doesn’t like a trip to the seaside and in recent years Margate has become a bit of a trendy destination and has its own rather fabulous LGBT+ cabaret venue, Sundowners. This Saturday (17 Nov) you get the marvellous KY Kelly and the following Saturday (24 Nov) none other than Mary Mac.

XXL Lumberjack

DJ legend Fat Tony is back at Pulse this Saturday (17 Nov) for this month’s XXL Lumberjack. Tony will be hacking away at the big trees in the main room alongside Paul Morrell and Alex Logan while in that funky Fur Lounge it’s the dynamic duo of Joe Egg and David Robson.

Mary at London Hotel Southampton 

This Friday (16 Nov) if you are down South you can treat yourself with a trip to The London Hotel in Southampton where none other than the gorgeous Mary Mac will be swinging her haggis like there’s no tomorrow.

Battle of the Bars

Battle of the Bars is the super hot, super fun karaoke competition that is happening right now at The Two Brewers, Halfway II Heaven, Admiral Duncan and Kings Arms plus Via in Manchester and Mary’s in Cardiff. Each venue is hosting heats and picking a champ who could win £2000 at the Final at The Two Brewers in December. Check the venues for details … and it could be you!

Experience the Light Lounge at Ku

Unless you’ve been hiding out at the bottom of the ocean you must know that on Fridays and Saturdays the gorgeous Light Lounge, upstairs from Ku Leicester Square, is now open to all Ku customers. You can get all hot under the collar with the topless boys downstairs or throw some shapes in Klub and then decant upstairs for a totally delicious cocktail or three. What a night!

Dusty’s exhibition

David Hodge, the artist formally known as Dusty O, has been making quite a name for himself as an actual artist with a number of exhibitions of his artwork. At the end of this month from Friday 30 November there is a major exhibition of his worked called Dragged Back To My Roots – A Personal Journey at the Digbeth Arts Space in Birmingham. Described by the man himself as ‘inspired by a reality that was unreal’ this is bound to be a brilliant show. Details at digbethartsmarket.com

Cybil’s House Red at the White Swan

On Saturday (17 Nov) Cybil and his band of warriors invite you to wear red, at their Cybil’s House Red party and join the fight against HIV stigma. They will be #RockingTheRibbon and teaming up with the National AIDS Trust with performances from Nana, Rodent, Bourgeoisie, HP Loveshaft, and Saffron Slayter plus the lady herself on hosting duties. G&D cabaret 

The Duchess, queen bee of the George and Dragon in Greenwich knows a thing or two about good acts and as always she has a fine selection this weekend. Friday (16 Nov) it’s Miss Jason, Saturday none other than Sandra and on Sunday you get Mary Mac, Sandra and Tanya Hyde.

Welcome to The Cave

The Cave is a cool new venue in Liverpool right in the middle of the gay quarter on Stanley Street,  open on Fridays and Saturdays from 6pm. It’s an intimate venue with lots of private areas and a great selection of DJs playing the best in funky house and disco, plus they have a delicious cocktail and drinks menu with many yummy drinks offers.
