Even by their high standards this weekend is a mad one at the Two Brewers with cabaret, DJs, gay rugby players, Scottish superstars, a gay big band, footballers and… panto… oh yes it does! Here’s a sneak peek at what’s on the schedule.
Star Whores – an Adult Panto
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday until 28 December
The multi Boyz Award-winning Two Box Productions are back with another twisted panto take on popular culture. This year it’s a story set in ‘a galaxy far far away’ that’s been plonked in the middle of the Brewers Club Bar and had a large injection of camp. All your favourite characters are present and incorrect … the Farce is strong… these are the drag queens we are looking for …obviously. Tickets at outsavvy.com
Christmas Ruggercub and Michelle McManus
Friday 14 December, 5pm to 4am
Those frisky Kings Cross Steelers are back for their Christmas throw-down and not only do you get a performance from the rugger buggers themselves, but the awesome KY Kelly and, a very special guest in the gorgeous shape of Pop Idol winner and Brewers favourite Michelle Macmanus, who told us: “I’m so excited about going back to the Two Brewers especially at Christmas time, as I get to sing my favourite festive songs with all of you joining in”.
The London Gay Big Band and Danny Beard
Saturday 15 December, 5pm to 4am
Saturday night at The Brewers kicks off with the brilliant London Gay Big Band and their special Christmas show, All I Want for Christmas, which is also the launch of their new album Freedom, in the Club Bar from 7pm. The crazy goes up a notch later in the Cabaret Bar with the brilliant Danny Beard and DJ Demon.
London Titans’ Christmas Ball and Ricky’s Cabaret Bar
Sunday 16 December, 5pm to 3am
On Sunday night it’s the turn of the London Titans to party at their Christmas Ball. Not only do you get sexy gay footballers knocking back the shots, but marvellous cabaret from Lady Diamond, Lola Lasagne, CK and Sandra with DJ Demon.
While next door in the Club Bar the boys and girls from Ricky’s Cabaret Bar in Gran Canaria are in town to show us how they do things in Maspalomas with a host of stars including our very own Tanya Hyde.
