Every weekend is special at the Boyz Award-winning sparkly cabaret bunker that is Halfway II Heaven, but for this Easter weekend, Heather, Marc and the team have called together a totally delicious selection of all the sweetest treats. Here’s what’s on the menu.
Kevin Walsh – Backing the Stars
Thursday 18 April, from 8pm
It’s the biggest Thursday night of the year and London’s karaoke king Kevin Walsh is at Halfway for a session of his mega popular, Backing the Stars. This is your chance to show us all exactly how it’s done from Queen to Gaga and everything in-between.
Mary Mac and Vanity Nightmare
Good Friday 19 April, from 7.30pm
Friday nights at Halfway start with a screening of RuPaul’s Drag Race live on the big screen at 7.30pm and at 9pm you can see some sensational homegrown talent when Vanity Nightmare takes to the stage. At 10pm it’s the wee small lass herself, yep Mary Mac will be belting out the hits and rocking our world, while DJ Little John twiddles the knobs.
Saturday cabaret
Saturday 20 April, from 3pm
If you want a calm and sane Saturday then it’s wise to stay away from Halfway, but if, like us, you want a brilliant rollercoaster of amazing cabaret with huge laughs then head on down. The crazy starts at 3pm with the ‘voice of a thousand fags’ Mrs Moore followed at 5pm by Boyz Easter cover star Rose Garden. As if that wasn’t enough at 8pm we get an extra helping of Lasagne, Lola Lasagne and at 10pm it’s Boyz Gold winners The Vixens along with buff bear DJ, Justin Swift.
CK Easter Sunday
Easter Sunday 21 April, from 3pm
The girls are back in town and you know CK Easter Sunday will be packed with yummy treats from 3pm. Apart from Crystal and Kelly we are promised surprises and guests and then, at 8pm it’s none other than Sandra!
Baga Chipz
Bank Holiday Monday 22 April, from 4pm
The elegant one is also back in town, from a mysterious three week ‘holiday’, yup it’s Baga Chipz back at Halfway for Bank Holiday Monday with DJ Jonny Pablo.
