Easter at CMYK
CMYK is the rather gorgeous new LGBT+ venue in Wimbledon and there’s loads going on for the Easter weekend. The theme all weekend is Play Boy Bunnies and the bar is open late, till 4am Thursday (18 Apr) to Saturday and 5am on Easter Sunday (21 Apr). The fun will include Easter egg hunts with hostess Carmen Getit from Good Friday and all weekend, plus on Saturday you get Vanity Nightmare and Aura Jay and on Easter Sunday cabaret from Dame Julie Paid and Ashley Fox. Shows start at 10.30pm each night.
The Old’s Ship’s Easter weekend
The team at The Old Ship in Limehouse have a brilliant mix of cabaret for you over this Easter weekend. It starts on Saturday (20 Apr) with scene legend Dave Lynn and on Easter Sunday the Boyz Award-winning Vixens will be belting out the hits and rocking that Easter bunny chic. The weekend comes to a hilarious end on Bank Holiday Monday (22 Apr) with the brilliant Tiffaney Wells on stage at 8.30pm.
Celebrating at Sundowners
Duncan and his gang of Easter fairies at Sundowners in sunny Margate have a fantastic bank holiday weekend lined up starting on Good Friday (19 Apr) with singer/songwriter Feryl. The big event of the weekend is on Saturday, when owner Duncan will be celebrating his birthday with special guest Son of a Tutu… it’s possible this will be a messy night… and on Easter Sunday, hot local boy made good Ben Davidson is live on stage.
Tasty Easter at Comptons
Comptons is open late this Easter weekend to 1am Thursday to Saturday and midnight on Easter Sunday. They have great DJs each night including Alex Eugino, James Bartlett and on Easter Sunday, treat yourself it’s the delicious Tasty Tim.
Boom Bang-A-Bang at ATS
The team at the Boyz Award-winning Above The Stag Theatre in Vauxhall are continuing their series of plays by writer Jonathan Harvey with Boom Bang-A-Bang from Friday 3 May. This hit Eurovision comedy is the latest play to be revived at the Vauxhall theatre from the writer of Gimme Gimme Gimme and Beautiful Thing. Tickets are on sale at abovethestag.com
Sweatbox is open
Easter weekend is a long party weekend and if you’re anything like the Boyz team then at some point you’ll want to let off steam… so it’s the perfect chance to check out the gorgeous new Sweatbox and don’t forget from now until Easter Sunday (21 Apr) everyone gets a free pass for a second visit with every 24 hour pass purchased. Wahoo!
Open mic at The White Swan
Thursdays are always fun at The White Swan when CJ presents her Piano Bar open mic night. All singers of all qualites are welcome to get up on stage. Happy Hour is from 8pm to 11pm and and don’t forget this Thursday (18 Apr) is the night before Good Friday so no work the next night!
The Bridge does Easter
Down in sunny Clapham the gang at The Bridge have a sizzling Easter weekend planned starting on Thursday (18 Apr) with DJ David Robson. Then over Good Friday, Saturday and Easter Sunday there’s a fantastic DJ line-up including Paul Heron, Massimo and DJ Dominic and on Bank Holiday Monday there’s a special Diva Bingo with Vanity von Glow and David Robson.
The Beboyz beta test

The Yard in Coventry
It’s going to be eggsellent this Easter weekend at the marvellous Yard in Coventry with loads of fun stuff happening all weekend. If you want some fantastic cabaret then head there on Friday when Trisha Birmingham will be wowing the crowds.
Ye Old Rose and Crown London Marathon fundraiser
Sunday 28 April is the day of the London Marathon and down in Greenwich at Ye Olde Rose and Crown they are holding a special fundraiser for Metro. They have two huge cabaret stars with Drag With No Name at 5pm and at 6pm the mighty Son of a Tutu.
Freedom Bar at Easter
If you are in or near Soho over the Easter weekend we recommend a visit to the gorgeous Freedom Bar on Wardour Street. The venue is open late until 3am all over the weekend including Easter Sunday when they have their big Easter Party. You also get the Soho Sound Session on Good Friday and Kinky Kabaret on Bank Holiday Monday (22 Apr).
Treat yourself at Chariots
Easter is meant to be a time to treat yourself, to indulge in things you love. For some that may be chocolate and cake, but if you like a different sort of hot buns then why not head to Chariots in Vauxhall? Europe’s biggest gay sauna is open all over the Easter weekend and is the perfect place to to go hunting delicious bunny boys!
Easter at The Dunky
The Admiral Duncan has a packed Easter weekend that kicks of on Thursday (18 Apr) with Sandra. Good Friday has Mary Mac, KY Kelly and Fanny Burns while on Saturday it’s Crystal D’Canter, Martha D’Arthur and Topsie Redfern, all raising cash for the Food Chain. Finally Baga Chipz brings it home on Easter Sunday!
Birmingham Pride line-up
This year’s Birmingham Pride is happening over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend, that’s the Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May. They have now confirmed the line-up for both days, including Years and Years on Saturday and The Human League on Sunday plus, loads – and we do mean loads – more. Tumulus at Soho Theatre
Tumulus is the play by Christopher Adams at the Soho Theatre on until Saturday 4 May. Starring Ian Hallard, it’s been described as ‘a queer noir thriller’ and also as ‘Midsomer Murders, just with more class C drugs and blow jobs.” Tickets from sohotheatre.com
