Madonna: 30 years of Like a Prayer
Thursday 4 April, 8pm – 2am
For many of us Like a Prayer is Madonna’s masterpiece, a true classic pop album that confirmed her place as an icon of the modern age. This special party is a celebration of the album for its 30th anniversary, complete with a full playback of the whole album. Plus there will be performances by Margo Marshall and her dancers and prizes for the best Madonna fancy dress.
Stephanie’s Child followed by LipSinkers
Friday 5 April, 7pm to 4am
It’s Friday and there are two amazing events at The RVT, kicking off early at 7pm with the outstanding Stephanie’s Child. Comprised of NYC queer nightlife staples Jan Sport, Lagoona Bloo, and Rosé, this drag vocal supergroup have become famous the world over working with Jessie J, Bianca Del Rio and many more. This show will mix their outrageous sense of humour with extraordinary vocals and is a must for any fans of US drag. Following that it’s the UK’s very own LipSinkers bringing their own deranged cabaret and clubbing fun to their spiritual home until 4am.
Duckie
Saturday 6 April, 9pm to 4am
Honestly is it really any kind of weekend if you haven’t been to the all powerful Duckie at The RVT? London’s favourite alternative pop and rock ’n’ roll club night will blast away your cares and worries with a hurricane of good times and classic pop of every kind. You get DJ legends Readers Wifes and guests and performers Jess Love and Lucy Burns plus Amy Lamé and Jay Cloth. Wahoo!
Mother’s Best
Sunday 7 April, 4pm to 10.30pm
Mother’s Best is the gorgeous new monthly Sunday party at The RVT from the boys behind Beefmince, bringing us different cabaret stars and some fantastic DJs. For this, their third outing they welcome the outrageous and very funny Fagulous and the amazing Topsie Redfern. Plus you get the fiercest tunes from DJ Silverhook and very special guest, the brilliant DK FKA.
