Counting down to Pride in London

Next Saturday (6 Jul) is the big day, Pride in London complete with the Parade, rally in Trafalgar Square, a set of stages in the West End and all your favourite LGBT+ venues giving it their all. Before the day itself there’s loads of amazing events as part of the Pride Festival.

The Pride Festival is a showcase for events from across the London LGBT+ community, including theatre and cabaret shows, tours, exhibitions, conferences, museum events and much more. This year there’s hundreds of diverse events including, Pride Jubilee at the Science Museum this Wednesday (26 Jun); YUMMY, the cabaret collective at Udderbelly Festival Southbank starts June 27; Stonewall Warriors, marking the actual 50th anniversary of Stonewall at Heaven on Friday (28 Jun); and on Sunday (30 Jun) there’s the Pride Picnic in Victoria Park. And that’s just a tiny snapshot, check the website for loads more fantastic events.

Parade Day

Saturday 6 July, from midday

Next Saturday (6 Jul) is the main day of Pride in London starting with The Parade from midday at Portland Place. It winds its way through the heart of the capital via Oxford Street, Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus and ends up passing Trafalgar Square and Whitehall. There’s a glorious selection of stages in the West End too, including Trafalgar Square where Billy Porter joins performers and speakers from across the LGBT+ community and allies. There’s also the World Stage making its debut, the cabaret Stage, Women’s Stage and more.

Plus don’t forget to support your favourite LGBT+ venues, all of which have special events on, some with cabaret and DJs. In Soho alone you have Halfway II Heaven, Ku Lisle Street, Little Ku, She Soho, Duke of Wellington, Rupert Street, Comptons, The Yard, Admiral Duncan, Kings Arms and more.
