Saturday 10 August is Margate Pride with a host of fun events happening at the Kent seaside town including Melanie C, yes from the Spice Girls, joining Sink the Pink for a special event at Dreamland. Here’s what you need to know.
Margate Pride
From midday to late
There’s a host of things to do today for Margate Pride including an afternoon street party and family friendly rally from midday. There’s a parade from Cliftonville to the main sands, inspiring speakers from across the LGBTQ+ community and local talent performing on the main stage from 3pm to 6pm. In the evening there’s the Cockles and Muscles Celebs in Swimwear – Pride After Party at the Lido Cliff Bar from 9pm.
Sink The Pink with Melanie C
Dreamland, 7pm to 11pm
Dreamland is the world famous and extremely funky amusement park located on the seafront at Margate that in recent years has become known as a top music venue complete with loads of fun surprises and extras. And, the big news is that Melanie C and Sink The Pink are joining the Margate Pride party at Dreamland this year. Sporty Spice and the legendary club night collective have joined forces on a tour of Pride events around the globe throughout the summer and will be calling in on Margate Pride with support from DJ Hannah Holland.
