Pride week at The Admiral Duncan
The Admiral Duncan is at the very centre of the Pride Soho shenanigans this weekend with a gorgeous cabaret line-up. Thursday (4 Jul) sees Sandra take to the stage while on Friday at their Pre-Pride Party it’s Mary Mac, Rose Garden and Heart & Soul. On the day itself, they have a gigantic line-up hosted by the marvellous Kara Van Park and includes nearly 20 acts with Son of a Tutu, Crystal D’Canter, Martha D’Arthur, Vileda Moppe and many more including a host of exciting new cabaret stars too. If you’re still standing on the Sunday, Baga Chipz will be hosting her Pride Hangover from 8pm, ‘very arsh’.
Thirst Trap at Above The Stag
James Barr, the host of award-winning comedy podcast A Gay and A NonGay is back at Above The Stag for an extend run of his hilarious one-man show, Thirst Trap from Sunday (7 Jul) as part of Pride at the Vauxhall LGBT+ theatre. The show is a thinly disguised attempt by the increasingly desperate MTV host to find his significant other and may or may not feature a story about Justin Bieber’s penis. Let off steam at Sweatbox
Pride weekend in the West End can be a tad full on. The streets packed with crazy, but just off Oxford Street is a dark and cool place that is the perfect retreat to rejuvenate your batteries. Sweatbox is open 24 hours a day over the weekend and guaranteed to refresh and recharge like no other. Have fun!
Pride weekend at The Old Ship
For Pride weekend, John and his team at The Old Ship have two great acts on offer at the much loved Limehouse venue. Saturday (6 Jul) sees pink bundle of sauce, Marsha Mallow rocking our world and on Sunday the cool soul of vocal duo Heart & Soul will ease your hangover.
Prowler Soho Pride
Prowler Soho on Brewer Street is right smack bang in the middle of the action on Pride Saturday and carries all kinds of fashions and gear you might need for a fabulous and sexy day.
XXL Save our Scene for Pride
XXL, the award-winning and hugely popular men only club at Pulse, is under threat from developers who are planning to build luxury flats on the site of the venue, starting in three months time. This Saturday (6 Jul) the team at XXL are making their massive Pride party a plea to Save Our Scene and ask the question, why is our scene being cleansed by developers? As well as a protest this will also be a celebration of all things XXL, complete with DJs Pagano, Alex Logan, Paul Morrell, David Robson, Joe Egg and a club packed as always with bears, blokes, cubs, hunks and hotties from 9pm. Croydon Pride is next Saturday
Next Saturday (13 Jul) is Croydon Pride at Wandle Park from midday to 10pm. London’s second biggest LGBT+ Pride event is free to attend and will include performances from David McAlmont, Lady Leshurr, Soju from RuPaul’s Drag Race, Danny Beard, Asifa Lahore, Son of a Tutu and many more. Celebrate at The Yard Soho
On Saturday (6 Jul) the team at The Yard will be celebrating 50 years of progress for the LGBT+ liberation movement. The gorgeous venue will be open all day until late, serving a lip-smacking selection of drinks in its unique setting and it’s free entry all day.
Sundowners Summer Fun Day
There’s more to this Saturday than what’s happening in London. If you want to get away then why not head to Margate where the gang at Sundowners are throwing their own Summer Fun Day on the terrace from 2pm to 7pm. That’s followed by cabaret from the brilliant Sum Ting Wong in the venue on stage at 11pm.
Little Gay Brother Queer Carnival
Those crazy monkeys from Little Gay Brother have a fantastic Pride celebration for your delight in two jaw-dropping parts on Saturday (6 Jul). The first part of their Queer Carnival is an outdoor street party/rave for 2000 people in Flat Iron Square, SE11 from 4pm with a host of amazing DJs and much more, as we’d expect from LGB. The second part is The Afters where they take over the rave caves of Omera, SE1 and bring in more big name tunesmiths until 5am. Tickets from dice.fm
Clementine is back in town
Clementine is the living fashion doll, she sings, dances, cracks jokes and is 15 inches tall… think The Muppet Show but camper. On Thursday (4 Jul) she presents Clementine’s Liberty Special, a star spangled rainbow of a show that mixes Independence Day with Pride at Crazy Coqs, at 7pm and again 9.15pm, live at Zedel in the West End. Pride at The Victoria
There’s always a warm welcome at The Victoria in Walthamstow and especially this Saturday (6 Jul) for Pride. There will be sparkling cabaret from the most precious, Scarlet Diamond on stage at midnight.
Barbie and Ken at Freedom Bar
If there are camper toys than Barbie and Ken then we’ve never been allowed to play with them. This Saturday (6 Jul) the team at Freedom Bar in Soho are opening up their toy box and dressing like everyone’s favourite plastic couple… although we suspect Ken always had the hots for GI Joe. The bar is open from 2pm till late and everyone is welcome to dress to impress plus there’s cool tunes and delicious drinks.
Forum+ for Pride
Formally known as Camden LGBT+ Forum and now called Forum+ the team in Camden and Islington work all year supporting the victims of hate crime and promoting equality by working with local councils. Run by and for LGBTQ+ people they cover education, support and arts and culture events. They are starting their 2019 Pride Day with a Pride Breakfast at the Phoenix Arts Club and will have a stall in Trafalgar Square where you can chat to the team. More information at forumplus.org.uk
Pride at The White Swan
If you’re looking for some East End fun on Saturday night, then head down to The White Swan where for Pride night, DJ Stevie Tee has been coaxed back to the Limehouse venue’s decks. Stevie will be bashing out the hits and flirting with the boys, like it’s Pride, which it is.

Folkstone Pride is coming
On Saturday 20 July there’s another fantastic Pride celebration happening and it promises to be pretty fierce. Folkestone Pride will be happening all over the gorgeous seaside town and will feature a Parade, and live entertainment centred at Leas Cliff Hall. Comptons Pride
Comptons is in the middle of Old Compton Street and right in the middle of the Pride Soho crazy. On Saturday it will be open early from 10.30am and will have DJs Alex Eugenio and Zach Burns from 6pm till late.
Phoenix Arts Club for Pride
Those bonkers bunnies at The Phoenix Arts Club on the Soho/Covent Garden border, have an amazing Pride day planned that includes a Christmas show. It starts at 10am with a Pride brunch until midday and then at 2.30pm the shows start with Adam All followed by Charlie Hides and then Son of a Tutu. There’s a Christmas sing-along with James Doughty at 8pm and then a full-on Christmas show, called Camp as Christmas from 10pm with Gingzilla till late. Sink The Pink Pride Icons Ball
If you want to end your Pride day in gloriously camp style then this Saturday (6 Jul) you need to head East young man. The boys and girls from Sink The Pink are back at their spiritual home of The Troxy and this time they’ve invited someone very special to join them. Yep, not only is the Icons Ball an official Pride in London after party, but the actual icon, Melanie C will be performing… yes, Mel C, Sporty Spice is the special guest star. Fetish Week London
It’s not only Pride in London this weekend, Saturday (6 Jul) is also the launch of Fetish Week London. For eight days there’s a whole smorgasbord of fetish themed delights on offer at venues and locations all across the city. The Last Song of Oliver Sipple
The King’s Head Theatre in Islington presents The Last Song of Oliver Sipple, by David Hendon, next Saturday (13 Jul) and Sunday. The play tells the true story of Oliver Sipple who stopped an assassination attempt on President Gerald Ford in 1975 and how he went from hero to zero when he was outed as gay by the press.
