Cabaret powerhouse Halfway II Heaven serves world-class drag entertainment throughout the year but the volume gets turned to 11 for Pride in London weekend, and rightly so. Here’s what you can expect over the next 72 hours. Clue: about 200 drag queens and hundreds more rainbow wearing revellers.
Pride Warm Up
Friday 5 July, midday to 2am
Your Pride in London weekend kicks off in glorious style down at Halfway II Heaven this Friday when the fabulous Mrs Moore takes to the stage for an hour or two of hilarious bants and songs from 8pm. And if that wasn’t enough, everyone’s favourite drag triple act the Boyz Award-winning Vixens are your entertainment from 10pm.
Pride in London
Saturday 6 July, midday to late
Just a stone’s throw away from the official Pride in London celebrations in Trafalgar Square, Halfway II Heaven has a line up of cabaret acts to blow your rainbow striped mind this Saturday.
Hosted by Mrs Moore, Rose Garden, Myra DuBois and Heart & Soul, guests taking to the hallowed staged include Miss Penny, Crystal and Kelly, Son of a Tutu, Lola Lasagne, Baga Chipz, Martha D’Arthur and loads – and we mean LOADS – more besides. Entry is free, but get there early because it’s busy from the off and you do not want to miss one second!
CK Pride Hangover
Sunday 7 July, midday to 10pm
After the last of the glitter has been swept up it’s time to do it all over again with Crystal D’Canter and Kelly Mild and their Pride Hangover on Sunday. So drop an Alka-Seltzer® into the nearest gin and tonic and get ready for an afternoon of songs and show tunes from the scene’s best loved duo.
