Celebrating at Halfway II Heaven

Halfway II Heaven is the small, but perfectly formed cabaret glitter bomb in the heart of the West End. It’s the ideal place to escape the woes of the world, like a camper version of Cheers with added drag queens. Here’s a look at Halfway’s Bank Holiday weekend and at the return of the amazing It’s a Knockout hosted by Bette Rinse.

Karaoke with Kevin Walsh

Thursday 22 August, from 8pm

Kevin Walsh is the karaoke king of old London town and his ‘Backing the Stars’ sessions are huge fun, grab a mic and show us your Britney.

Friday Night Cabaret

Friday 23 August, from 8pm

There’s two gorgeous cabaret treats in store tonight at Halfway, first up at 8pm is the amazing Poppycock, winner of last year’s It’s a Knockout at the venue and a Drag Idol 2019 finalist. Then at 10pm it’s the tartan tart, the gorgeous Mary Mac complete with her all-singing, all-dancing haggis.

Saturday at Halfway

Saturday 24 August, from 4pm

There’s nowhere quite like Halfway on a Saturday and they have their classic line-up this weekend. The crazy starts at 4pm with the voice of a
thousand fags, Mrs Moore, followed by Rose Garden and her shenanigans. Later at 10pm you get the Boyz Award-winning Vixens while dishy DJ Justin Swift is on the knobs.

CK Sunday Think Pink Stonewall fundraiser

Sunday 25 August, from 3pm

On the Bank Holiday Sunday, Crystal and Kelly are hosting a very special CK Sunday. Think Pink is a fundraiser in memory of Halfway regular Mark Galvayne who passed away earlier this year, with the money going to his chosen charity Stonewall. Mark always brightened up the room and so the dress code is PINK! CK will be joined by a host of special guests and it promises to be a brilliant tribute to a much missed Halfway family member. The fundraising will actually begin with Martha D’Arthur on Wednesday 21 August continuing through the weekend finishing with Miss Penny on
Wednesday 28 August, with loads of chances to donate in Mark’s name. And don’t forget to dress in PINK!

The Weakest Twink

Bank Holiday Monday 26 August, from 8.30pm

The quiz with the most twinks is back! Tia Kofi from The Vixens gets her Anne Robinson on as she hosts The Weakest Twink from 8.30pm. Guaranteed to be hilarious.

It’s a Knockout hosted by Bette Rinse

Tuesday 10 September, from 8pm

This is not a drill, London’s most exciting cabaret talent contest is back. Yep, Bette Rinse hosts It’s a Knockout 2019, the contest that pushes drag acts to places they have never been before and makes them like it. There’s different themes and tasks each week as Bette and the judges
whittle down to find out who joins the previous winners, Poppycock, Felix Le Freak, Ripley, Chamonix Aspen
and more.

Entry is free.
