Rediscover The City Of Quebec

The Quebec, located near Marble Arch at the end of Oxford Street, is London’s ‘oldest newest’ gay venue which has been busy evolving into a fresh and vibrant bar for the entire LGBTQ community. Here’s just a taste of what to expect.

There’s a new team at The Quebec on Old Quebec Street just off Oxford Street, in the heart of the West End and they have just announced their biggest line-up of entertainment and new nights in recent history.

In October they are building a bigger stage and upgrading their sound system, manager Alan Stuart told us: “We are open to everyone in the LGBTQ community both young and old. We are evolving as a business in the face of recent closures to venues and investing money to bring something fresh to the scene. We will also be launching The Quebec Lounge midweek in mid-October as the nights draw to a close earlier with live saxophonist, disco nights, and a new cocktail and craft beer menu in our basement bar.”

Upcoming highlights include an exciting Latin music night on Saturday 28 September, open mic competition every Tuesday which runs from 7:30pm-11pm. Every Thursday in October they will be screening RPDR UK at 8pm followed by their extremely popular karaoke night at 9pm until 1am.

On Saturday 5 October it’s Britney vs. Whitney, a whole night dedicated to the divas and a live performance from Britney impersonator Pavie Valsa. The following night they have Lisa Q Jones filling in for Charlie Hides resident slot at 10pm. Charlie Hides is at The Quebec on the 1st Sunday of each month. On Friday 11th it’s Vicki Vivacious on stage at midnight and the soundtrack for the night is all things pop and the next night Saturday 12th they have RPDR UK star Baga Chipz on stage at midnight with the soundtrack for the night all out 80s. Sunday new queen on the scene Miss Tish Ewe, Friday 18th the new R&B and hip hop night Freaky Friday and on Sunday 20 October Miss Minnie Bar on stage at 10pm. Plus don’t forget the hugely popular Overtures in the basement bar every Thursday to Saturday from 7:30pm until 2am.

Entry to the bar is always free.

Entry to Overtures is free on Thursday and £5 every Friday and Saturday. The Quebec, 12 Old Quebec Street, W1.
