This Saturday (21 Sep) is the last XXL at its current home at Pulse on the Southbank. For nearly 20 years the XXL team have been rocking our Saturday nights, and since its move to Pulse it’s only grown bigger and stronger.
Each and every weekend you can find bears, blokes and hotties of all kinds having a fantastic time, loving the venue, the sound system, each other and the music. And what fantastic music it has been. In the main room residents Paul Morrell and Alex Logan, not forgetting the much missed Christian M, plus regular guests Pagano, Moto Blanco, Fat Tony, Hutch and more have raised the roof, our hands and our spirits with their unique mix of pumping house and uplifting tunes. Plus in the marvellous Fur Lounge residents Joe Egg and David ‘Dolly’ Robson have mixed up their unique blend of pop, R&B and some gorgeous guilty pleasures… what money on Donna Summer’s classic ‘Last Dance’ this Saturday? All the residents plus Moto, Tony and Hutch will be playing and they are promising that we will ‘dance till we drop’. We suspect it’s going to be a very special night indeed.
We don’t know yet what the future holds for the XXL team, but we guess they will be back and when they are ready, we will be here to tell you all about it. Until then, see you on the dance floor at Pulse this Saturday for The Last Dance.
