Opening Times: Clapham Cabaret at The Brewers

The Two Brewers was recently voted best LGBTQ venue in the UK and when you see their line-up for November it’s easy to see why. There’s something fabulous on every night including the UK’s best cabaret acts, clubs nights, karaoke, bingo, quizzes and special events. Here’s a look at just a few of the treats in store, in Clapham.

Mary Mac’s Birthday 

Friday 8 November, 5pm to 4am 

She’s the Scottish vocal powerhouse, fuelled by Iron Bru that loves to fling her haggis around the stage to a melody that at last count was 17 hours and 52 minutes long. Yep it’s the tartan terror, Mary Mac and she’ll be celebrating her birthday tonight with her Sunday night pals, Miss Jason and Sandra, plus DJ Demon who will do his best to keep them in check.

Miss Penny and Delighted Tobehere

Saturday 9 November, 5pm to 4am 

It’s another birthday at The Brewers as the mighty Midlands monster, Miss Penny blows… the candles on her cake. Plus she’ll be joined by the sensational Delighted Tobehere from the USA. 

Rebel!

Thursday 14 November, from 7pm

Hosted by Karen Fisch, Rebel! is a brand new night for and by LBTQIA+ womxn, trans, GNC people and their friends. This first night will feature an actual defence class and the best in rebellious performances from Chiyo, Harley D. and Katy Jalili, followed by DJ Kat Hudson who will keep the dance floor packed with all your favourite disco, pop, electro trash and riot grrrl classics. World AIDS Day parties 

Thursday 28 November to Sunday 1 December 

This year there’s four days of events and fundraising for World AIDS Day at The Two Brewers. On Thursday (28 Nov) in the Club Bar, Wandsworth Oasis present their annual Red Ribbon Ball hosted by Jason Rosam and Mrs Moore and featuring Tom Robinson, TVTV and many more acts. On Friday there’s a special night of comedy featuring Rosie Jones, Dane Baptiste, Sophie Duker and more raising money for the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust and The Food Chain and on Saturday there will be people collecting for the National AIDS Trust. On Sunday (1 Dec) which is World AIDS Day itself, they will be throwing their annual big fundraiser for Wandsworth Oasis, hosted by Miss Penny with shows from Poppycock, Sandra, Lady Imelda, Tanya Hyde, Karla Bear and Karen Williams.
