28 Gays Later by Max Barber: Review by Stephen Vowles

There is no doubting Max Barber’s talent as a creative person – film maker and now author – this foray into the world of horror fiction is a good one. Well rounded characters and instant shock and schlock appeal. From page 1 he’s very gory and the well described zombie attack feeds the reader’s imagination to achieve the inevitable goose bump, skin crawl… stomach turning sensation that makes for great horror writing. Barber’s skill is also in the way he has constructed the book; 28 short chapters that make for ideal reading and make for an instant page turner that you can’t put down. It has a good solid start, intricate middle and a glorious happy ending. For this time of the year, a fab and scary read before bedtime. Leave your lights on! A firm thumbs up from me!
