WYBTD’s Big Soho Weekend plus Blu Hydrangea at Sundowners, The Victoria, The Quebec, Jamie HP’s parties and more

Will You Be There Darling? is the attitude free meet up group hosted by Michael R. Made up of all types of guys it’s the perfect way to get out and about and make new friends. The Big Soho Weekend kicks off on Friday 21 February at Ku Klub, Soho from 7pm. It’s the first time WYBTD have held a night at Ku so it’s sure to be a good one! On Saturday 22nd the boys will be at The Phoenix Arts Club for an evening of drinks and laughter. Sundowners hosts Blu Hydrangea

Down in Margate Sundowners is always fun, but it will be especially entertaining on Friday 28 February when RuPaul Drag Race UK’s Blue Hydrangea will be live on stage. Expect it to be mega busy when Blu Hydrangea – the alter ego of Jesus Joshua Cargill – makes his sensational debut at Sundowners. Door prices are £10 on the door with the chance to have a meet and greet for £18. Blu Hydrangea was placed 5th in the recent Season 1 of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and is an act that should not be missed! Other entertainment down at Sundowners this month is The Vixens on Saturday 1st February, Linda Gold’s Euro Drag Contest Heat Final on Friday 7th, Katt Kitten on Saturday 8th, Eva Iglesias on Saturday 22nd and Miss Jason and Son of a Tutu on Saturday 29th.

The Victoria’s Lip Sync For Your Life

You always get a lot of fun at The Victoria in Walthamstow and on Saturday 22 February is holding Pixie’s ‘Lip Sync For Your Life Contest’ with a special prize being a paid for gig at one of the group’s bars. That’s a prize worth winning! Also this month Adam All is on Saturday 15 February and there’s an Open Drag Night on the second and last Mondays of the month.

Karaoke and Cabaret at The City of Quebec

There’s a real mix of clientele and cabaret at The Quebec and you can even do a spot of karaoke if you fancy it? Every Thursday from 9pm until 1am is your chance to get on stage and shake your stuff – and their ‘Double Ended’ Cabaret shows happen every Saturday and Sunday with some great drag acts. 

Jamie HP’s Parties

If you’d like your social life to be a lot more sexual then Jamie HP’s parties are definitely something you’d want to attend. The long established TFN (Totally Fekkin Nude) takes place every Friday and every Saturday at the Covent Garden Health Spa and on the first Saturday of every month there is Jamie’s Horse Fair London. Held at Union in Vauxhall it’s a night for ‘stallions, stable lads and mares’. Other parties you need to attend are SBN, Screw and Jamie’s Private Pool Parties where there’s lots of fun to be had, whatever your fetish. All the details and dates can be found at jamiehp.co.uk.

Madonna Madame X Tour Party at The Grand

To celebrate Madonna’s return to London The Grand in Clapham are bringing back the legendary night ‘L-U-V MDNA’ on Friday 7 February. Prepare yourself for a Madame X Tour after party in celebration of the Queen of Pops London Palladium residency. If you weren’t lucky (or rich) enough to get a ticket then this is the next best thing. Featuring London’s finest Pop DJs playing your favourite tracks from her incredible back catalogue, you can expect the biggest hits to album cuts, re-mixes and unheard edits. Days And Nights at The Rose & Crown

The Rose & Crown is situated in historic Greenwich, just along from the entrance to The Royal Park. Of a day time you might find the pub full of tourists mingling with the locals and of an evening it’s when the boys come out. The pub has an eclectic mix of cabaret and themed nights including Cheesy Movie Night on a Monday, Showtunes Tuesday, Karaoke on a Thursday and Back To The 80’s on a Friday. Saturday night at The Rose is for drinking and dancing and they have Drag Cabaret Sundays twice a month. The next one is on 26 January with the wig mistress herself, Shyanne O’Shea.
