News update from The RVT as it reopens on Saturday 4th July under Government guidelines

Following the Government’s guidelines regarding venues reopening the team at The RVT can now confirm more details of how the venue will operate from Saturday 4th July. Here’s what you need to know…

Here is the RVT statement about its reopening:

“We will open at the times below and will endeavour to follow guidelines for the safety of our customers and staff:

  • Saturday 4th July: 2pm to late
  • Sunday 5th July: 4pm to late
  • Monday to Friday: 5pm to late

We will operate a table service only.

Drinks will not be sold at the bar.

PPE will be offered to and supplied to staff, plus masks will be available if customers request them.

All tables and chairs inside and outside will be set up so everyone sits one metre apart.

The venue will be cleaned constantly with staff making sure tables are kept clean.

There will be hand sanitizer available all around the venue and people will be encouraged to use this upon entry and exit.

Customers will be asked if they wish to register upon entry.

Unfortunately we now know that for the immediate future we cannot put on any cabaret or DJs. This is obviously a blow to a venue that is an award-winning cabaret space and we are disappointed that we can’t welcome back and support our many performers and promoters.

We remain optimistic that these measures and restrictions are temporary, and we are all looking forward to serving the LGBTQ+ community once again.

Entry will be free.”
