Broadway musical Pippin opening at The Garden Theatre extended by two weeks after overwhelming demand

The producers of the Broadway musical Pippin, which is being performed at The Garden Theatre at The Eagle – the exciting new outdoor COVID-safe theatre space – have announced a second extension of two weeks to Sunday 11 October due to overwhelming demand.

After launching with the sold-out, critically acclaimed musical Fanny and Stella, which also extended its run twice due to overwhelming public demand, The Garden Theatre at The Eagle is presenting an exciting new production of the Broadway musical about a prince learning the true meaning of glory, love and war. Pippin is an iconic and unforgettable musical masterpiece.

Pippin features an infectiously unforgettable score including “Magic to Do” and “Corner of the Sky” from four-time Grammy winner, three-time Oscar winner and musical theatre giant Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell), who has given his blessing to perform the show for the first time ever with an ensemble cast of six.

The cast includes Ryan Anderson as Pippin; Ryan was recently A-Rab in West Side Story (Curve Theatre) and Roger in the UK tour of Grease. Tsemaye Bob-Egbe, the Leading Player, comes direct from starring as the alternate Tina in Tina: The Tina Turner Story in the West End. Tanisha-Mae Brown as Catherine is a 2020 graduate of ArtsEd making her professional debut. The show also stars Joanne Clifton as Fastrada and Bertha, Harry Francis as Lewis and Theo and Dan Krikler as Charles.

Pippin’s creative team is led by director Steven Dexter, with choreographer Nick Winston, musical director Michael Bradley, designer David Shields, lighting designer Richard Lambert and casting by Anne Vosser.

Pippin is produced by Peter Bull for LAMBCO Productions.

Pippin runs from Tuesday 8th September to Sunday 11th October at The Garden Theatre at The Eagle, 349 Kennington Lane, London SE11 5QY. Nearest tube/train: Vauxhall.
