Pioneering arts & film festival Brixton Reel is back for its 10th year, celebrating diverse Queer experience and mental wellbeing for London’s communities.
It kicks off this Saturday with the return of the now legendary feel-good Too Black Too Queer, that has helped launch many new Black LGBTQIA+ performing talents. Come and see it live at the Scala.
The festival features the film Bill and Robert
The jam-packed programme starts 7pm sharp with powerful and community empowering new short films, some of them UK premieres, followed by a Queer diverse cabaret hosted by Son of a Tutu, with stellar acts including Tanka Fuego, Miss Terri Boxx, Beau Jangles, Heleana Blackwell, Rileasa Slaves. Expect also film director Q&As.
Stay on afterwards to experience Urban World at the Scala, one of UK’s super-hit Black Queer nights.
