What a year it has been! Full freedom and Covid a distance memory, at least that is how it felt for many. The year 2022 has been one to remember and as we can’t summarise the whole year here, we will focus on Poppers UK. Yep, the stuff for good times. We will discuss the bestsellers, new arrivals, what makes them last longer and a manor of other things that you might find interesting.
Berlin XXX reigns supreme for another year
Again, the bestseller remains Berlin XXX, for some reason this brand keeps capturing the imagination of the nation. It is with good reason as they do seem to deliver what customers want. Many only buy this brand and the feedback has been great. In addition to Berlin XXX brands like Red Bullet, Fist, Power Rush and Jungle Juice also remain at the top of the bestsellers list. Special mention goes to the classic Liquid Gold poppers, this must be one of the oldest brands around and still has a huge loyal fan base.
The newcomers you loved
Every year we source new room aromas that we hope are well received. Before we make them available in the store we have a tester to make sure they pass our quality control guidelines. In 2022 there were 3 brands of note that seemed to outperform the rest.
1. Twisted Beast
Very much aimed at the hardcore market, this brand has had a great start to its arrival in the UK this year. Especially their Skull F*** seems to be popular. This bottle has the shape of a skull and is packed full of potent formula made in Europe. In addition, they also have regular shaped bottles in 10ml, 18ml and 24ml sizes. Twisted Beast have been likened to some of our other hardcore brands like Berlin XXX, Pig Red and Original, that on its own is a great sign of its effectiveness.
2. Classics gone large
Liquid Gold and Rush are the oldies that have been performing well for many for decades. This year they gave us an XXL 25ml bottle and there is a lot of love for it. Basically, it is just more formula for less. The content is the same as the original 10ml bottle, there is just more of it and better value for money. Also introduced was the Power Rush. Described as an improved version of the original Rush, Power Rush comes with a power pellet. The idea behind the power pellet is to re-activate the formula when re-opening the bottle. Give it a good shake to optimise the effect.
3. Juic’d to the Max
Another recent hit that arrived from Europe to our store is called Juic’d. Available in 2 sizes this power popper is doing the business. Amongst all the Juices (Jungle Juice, Tribal Juice, O’Juice) this one is holding its own. Juic’d has only been added to the store very recently so we will have to wait and see if it keeps up the trajectory to become a real bestseller amongst all the competition.
There you have it, these new kids on the block all wanting you to have a good time with them. I wish we could say which one to buy. When it comes to buying your favourite leather cleaner it is rather an individual journey. We have brands that many customers love yet others can’t stand. It is hard to identify what makes one person love a particular brand where someone else just cannot get on with that very same brand and formula. Trial and error is the only way to find the one for you unfortunately.
How to store your poppers
One of the most asked questions is how to store your aromas? We always recommend keeping them in a dark and cold place. The fridge is great and the freezer seems to be even better. The thing to avoid is sunlight and warm places. When ordering more than one bottle, which most people do, we suggest having a bottle for easy access in your drawer or place of choice and the rest in the freezer. This way you are always ready and have some spare ones keeping its strength for future usages.
Poppers are for everybody
We often hear the phrase gay poppers but we can confirm that these products are for everybody. We have many straight customers both male and female that love them. Originally it might have been brought to the market for a gay audience but that is no longer the case. Some, not ours, marketing efforts might make you think otherwise but our customer base tells a completely different story.
