Duckie Decrim at the RVT: Saturday 8 July

Duckie always pull something special out of their bejewelled clutch purse for Pride and this year they really outdid themselves. Duckie Decrim saw them at their beloved regular home at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern but with the added twist that they had also taken over the nearest railway arch which you could access as well as the main pub. The theme of this fantastic party was the partial decriminalisation 50 years ago and there was a whole, gaggle, (is that the right term?) of 1967 ‘Vauxhall drag’ performers covering all kinds of styles. There was also music from the Readers Wifes and the lovely Amy Lamé was on hand to make sure we had fun, which we most certainly did.
