BeefMince at the RVT
It wouldn’t be the weekend without something delicious and this Friday (21 Jul) you can stuff yourself with BeefMince at the RVT. It’s chunky, funky, extremely sexy and loads of fun. XXL Rugby
If you want to be in the middle of the sexiest scrum outside of the England rugby team’s changing room then head to Pulse this weekend. On Saturday (22 Jul) it’s XXL Rugby and you know what that means – the super club will be fit to bursting with sweaty blokes in very tight shorts all trying to score. We don’t really need to say more, but the music will also be in a rugby league of its own from Fat Tony, Paul Morrell, Alex Logan, David Robson and Joe Egg.
Harry’s back at the Brewers
This Friday (21 Jul) there’s a preview performance of Harry Poppers and the Deathly Swallows Part Two at the Two Brewers before the team jet off for two weeks in Edinburgh. Non muggles will remember that the original version of this magical show won the Boyz award for Best Panto and we are promised more of their unique take on this classic story of good versus evil. Halfway’s weekend
As always it’s all go at the small but perfectly formed Halfway II Heaven at Charing Cross with the mighty Sandra kicking things off on Friday (21 Jul). Saturday means a day of cabaret starting at 3pm with Mary Mac followed by Rose Garden and later on you get the Vixens and DJ Justin Swift. The weekend reaches a sparkling climax with CK Sunday featuring Crystal D’Canter, Kelly Mild and guests.
He Shoots He Scores
Carrying on with the sexy sports theme, He Shoots He Scores is the ‘musical with balls’ that’s on right now at Above The Stag Theatre in Vauxhall. This is the story of a gay football team who want to go from being hot misses to being winners. Tickets at abovethestag.com.
Blink of an Eye
Blink of an Eye is a new musical by Terry Gee that opens this Wednesday (26 Jul) at the Lion and Unicorn Theatre in Kentish Town, NW5. The show is a tale of modern gay London and Terry told us: “They say write what you know, so I wrote a musical about modern gay life in London. As writer, producer and director, it has been the most stressful yet rewarding experience and best of all I get to see a cast of brilliant actors breathe life into a script and songs which were once only in my head. There’s always a warm welcome from John and the team at the Old Ship in Limehouse. This Saturday (22 Jul) the marvellous Cookie Monstar will be entertaining the East End crowd while the next day on Sunday it’s Davina Sparkle.

Sister Mary’s Playtime
This Sunday (23 Jul) instead of saying hail Mary why not say hiya Mary when the immaculate Sister Mary McArthur hosts her Playtime at the Hen and Chickens Theatre, N1. There’s no pulpit or psalms just a lot of laughs, games and show tunes, plus Sister Mary will be joned by West End star Janie Dee and ‘mind reader’ Chris Cox. Queer British Art
