Mica Paris at the RVT: Thursday 20 July

Sometimes all you really want from life is a great voice singing amazing songs in a venue you love – and we got all last Thursday when Mica Paris performed at the RVT. The night started with three songs from engaging new pop duo Blonde Electra, but the main attraction was of course the lovely Mica Paris who delivered a no frills set of some of her most popular songs. We got Stay, I Never Felt Like This Before, My One Temptation, Breath Life Into Me, a fantastic version of the Al Green/Tina classic Let’s Stay Together, club smash Bodyswerve and more. Mica’s voice was as beautiful and rich as ever and her chat between songs warm and very funny; it was clear she felt totally at home. It was a great night and we can’t wait till she’s back again.
