Meet our cover stars and find out what they’re doing this bank holiday weekend?

It’s the last bank holiday weekend of the year and all your favourite venues will be throwing their best parties and laying on the best entertainment. We asked a selection of people who will be working on the scene to tell you about their bank holiday weekend ahead.

Sum Ting Wong – Cabaret star and Two Brewers quiz host

“I’ll be rebooting the Two Brewers quiz on Wednesday 23 August, so if you’re  about for an early evening bevy please come down. A few days to rest my trotters, then on Saturday I’m at the Admiral Duncan and on Sunday I’ll be over in Southampton for Pride at the London Hotel. Bank Holiday Monday we’ll be at the Two Brewers raising money for the London Fire Brigade benevolent fund with The Power of Three and the King’s Cross Steelers. Hopefully see you on my travels, love you long time xoxo.”

Phil Rutherford- XXL barman

“I’m looking forward to being behind the bar at Pulse for the massive XXL bank holiday party.”

Nicolae – Ku barman

“At Ku Bar our bank holiday weekends mean something simple; more partying, more drinks, more music and more boys! I will be working at Ku Leicester Square with the rest of the Ku family, serving you any drink you need. With our bar open till 3am on Saturday, and the Klub till 5am, what more could you want?”

Alice Beaverton-Palmer – DJ at Push the Button at the RVT

“I’ll be corralling dozens of tipsy Spice girls and boys around town on Friday night, hosting a Spice Bus with Juno Dawson for Push The Button. It’s always a ridiculous night, especially when we ‘jump’ over Tower Bridge. I should have recovered in time to get to Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens for the GMFA/RVT Sports Day on Monday afternoon – I’m super competitive so I take no prisoners!”

Jamie Barwood – He Shoots He Scores at Above the Stag

“I’ll be celebrating the end of an amazing summer being in He Shoots He Scores at Above the Stag as it’s our last night on Saturday!

Mark ‘Marsha’ Wake from Halfway II Heaven

“I love bank holidays at Halfway. I’ll be behind the bar flexing my muscles and fluttering my eyelids whilst the best cabaret is on stage. If you want to keep me sweet after my shift, mine’s a Malibu and Coke!”

Special thanks to Balans Cafe Society for the marvellous location, check out all their amazing food, drink and deals at all their venues at balans.co.uk.
