Birthday Ball at the Brewers 

This Friday (29 Sept) those cheeky chaps the London Titans FC will be celebrating three years of saucy behaviour at their monthly club night Ball at the Two Brewers. There will be cabaret from the dynamic duo of Crystal D’Canter and Kelly Mild aka CK plus DJs Demon and Liam Chaplin.

Charlie Hides at the RVT

Make a date in that bejewelled diary because this Sunday (1 Oct) the ‘Transatlantic Dame’ Charlie Hides will be back where she belongs at Sunday Service at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern. She’s on stage at 5.30pm and you also get music from DJs Simon Le Vans, Liam Chaplin and Sean Sirrs.  

Ku gets Chappy

This Saturday (30 Sept) those boys at Ku Bar will be teaming up with Chappy the hot new dating app set up by Made In Chelsea star turned entrepreneur Ollie Locke. Already clocking up more than 2 million swipes a day, Chappy is fast cementing itself as a lifestyle essential for the 21st century gay man and you can meet the team on Saturday. It will be, wait for it… CHAPPY HOUR from 10pm – 11pm, where the Chappy team will be handing out free drinks to anyone that grabs them, as well as gorgeous merchandise and freebies. All Ku Bars open till 3am, with Klub open till 5am this Saturday.

Ceri Dupree returns to the White Swan 

If you want something that’s both totes glam and hilarious then on Saturday (30 Sept) head to the White Swan where the brilliant Ceri Dupree will be making a triumphant return for a very special show that has special seating, waiter service, a free drink on arrival and of course all Ceri’s brilliant impersonations. It’s a Knockout Final at Halfway

This Tuesday (3 Oct) is the 2017 Final of It’s a Knockout hosted by Bette Rinse at Halfway II Heaven. This year’s finalists, Vanity Nightmare, Felix Le Freak and Cynthia Seaward will battle it out to see who lifts the crown at 9pm. 

 

XXL Midweek

All roads on Saturday (30 Sept) will lead to the gigantic XXL 17th Birthday party, but don’t forget you can also get a second tasty bite of this yummy pie every Wednesday at XXL Midweek. DJ Joe Egg spins the tunes and it’s free entry for members.

Gloria’s in Spitalfields 

Gloria’s is the uber funky new Friday party at Wringer + Mangle in Spitalfields, E1 that’s like going to an after-party at your mates… if your mate lived in a beautiful club bar and had all the best tunes. It’s open early so you can go from work. 

Holding the Man at ATS

Holding the Man is the beautiful play by Tommy Murphy that charts the true story of two men and their relationship from meeting as students until the AIDS related death of one of them. It’s moving and also funny and uplifting and it’s on until 21 October. Get your tickets at abovethestag.com.

Get to the G&D

Brace yourselves as this Friday (29 Sept) the elegance quota will go up in Greenwich when Baga Chipz takes to the stage at the George and Dragon. The tone may lower slightly when Sandra gets there on Saturday and it will plummet on Sunday with Mary Mac, Sandra and Miss Jason all doing their thang! 

Fancy a coffee hun?

The gang from Wandsworth LGBT Forum hold a weekly coffee morning aimed at 50+ LGBT+ folk. It’s always a lovely way to spend a morning and it’s on every Thursday from 10am at The Furzedown Project, 93 Moyser Road, SW16.

Light After Dark
